As the big tides push up the bait fish head upstream, there is a lot of rubbish washed in and the bait fish hide within it.
The Barra follow them up and feed on the surface. Once the big tidal push stops you can go back to traditional trolling.

Mate why do you reckon the fish of that size are feeding in the top of the water column?? traditionally as you know its about getting it down to the fish.. Is the run quite strong there?
