And there are so many ways to pronounce Dorchester in Boston: Dah-chesta, Daw-chestah, Dooah-chestah, and the way Lamont said it but without the 'r'.
Lolol “My dahhgs ah bahhhking!” I’m dying heah!
"And Ted 2." I love this guy already.
I grew up in Boston and surrounding area I have 6 kids and none of them have the accent, even my wife who's from Haverhill her accent is completely different then mine. My mom and her side of the family all do the long A and she's from mission hill so I guess it really depends on where you grow up, but if your from the area and you travel people know exactly where your from
I lived in MA from birth to ten. Lived in the south for almost 20 years and lost my accent but it randomly pops out. It also comes out whenever i hear people talking in a Boston accent
Woostah..he got THAT right! lol
The hat at 4:10 has me in stitches!
remember that the Boston Accent is most often the South Boston/Daw ches tah accent. the Brahmin accent is seldom attempted. the other Boston accent that no one ever talks about is is north of Boston accent which is less harsh. So, Bah-st'n becomes Baws t'n, etc
Damn look at this bill😂
I have a heavy Aussie swearing level. Obviously cuz I’m Aussie XD
I live in mass and I can say he dose have a good ascent at the beginning people say I have an accident but when I go up about north only about 30 mins into Boston there’s always these street guards telling me what to do and I’m like what
I’m tryna breathe but I really can’t 🤣😂🤣🤣🤣
Too funny! Nice.
Lmfao dude said “an I’m from Dorchester”
Its funny im from Dorchester and i have a in-between accent.i live in Jacksonville so when im here everyone say u must be from nee york or something and when im in Boston everyone says yo cuz u mad country fam.lol and thats on dead Dawgs
Boston 🇺🇸🇨🇮💯💖 Bostonian accent lol
I'm from Dorchester as well and black folks don't have the Boston accent instead we have a Boston blaccent. Most black people have a black sent in America and the blaccent varies from state-to-state amongst black people.
Nah, I’m from Boston & only white and Italians talk like that. Us black and Puerto Ricans, talk mad different 😂👏🏾
Shoulda hired Aaron the king wizard kid! That brothah coulda had you sounding like the mayor of Dunkin's with out questions there.
It's "mayah" not mayor..u know what I mean..say that in 1 sentence..yaknowwhatimean?
I think the Boston accent is a "white person thing" honestly...I've never heard a blk person with the typical stereotypical Boston accent, but I am from texas....just something I noticed
You're actually correct. I've been in LA for 20 years and most people find out I'm from the city because I wear Red Sox gear head to toe. It's always white people that ask why I don't have a Boston accent and I simply answer, "I'm not white." 😂🤫😬
@@STUDYALLAH365 Facts lol....same here, now living in TX.
Preach!! A white Irish thing to be exact 🤷🏿♂️
It’s more of an older ppl thing like Gen X and above. The younger black/latino crowd sound more like NY nowadays but the older generation do have a more typical Boston accent.
JUST REMEMBER THAT AN R IS AN "AH" AND YOUVE GOT IT...ITS A CAH...NOT A CAR
He should just watch any season of Family guy, that's just it
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO That is not a real Boston accent
Michael Dac that’s actually a really authentic Boston/RI accent
It's supposed to be a Rhode Island accent not a Boston accent. There's a difference.
@@edwardmiessner6502 There's two types of a RI accent. The one influenced by Italian immigrants that sounds like a mix of Boston and New York, and then the accent that the majority have that is pretty identical to the Boston accent. Peter Griffin has the second one. That's why Ted and Peter Griffin sound exactly the same. RI is just mini Massachusetts.
@TCT it's the butthole of New England
Bill Burr did a bit on coaching Boston accents
Was pretty good
Angela....awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!
Omg that was so god awful i love it
Yeah right ..He's from Dohchestah ? Right ....
You been to Summahville kehd?
Im originally from somerville mass born in Boston raised in Somerville n from mass n proud we pronouced it the Ville
Nailed it 😅
The best of the best.I can hardly learn it
Moved from Boston to tenn, I tried to pronounce the R, but I make a face like I'm straining one out.
Dude, you got "badadoes". Wow. That's insider stuff.
This is so confusing, what is the difference between Boston and Brooklyn accents.
id say nothing..cause they do sound alike
I'd say Brooklyn accent is more deep and Boston accent is more quacky/snappy.
@@delongtsway953 That's the best descripton I've heard!
a lawt
The difference is Awwwww is from NY and Ahhhhhhh is from Boston. Listen to a NYer say coffee, office, Boston. Listen to a Bostonian say Harvard, Car, Somerville.
dude, just hang out with da Teamsta’s they are perfect.
I say fuckin' alot. Boston born and raised!
Patrice Oneals long lost brother
I am from Massachusetts, It is a common misconception that people from Massachusetts do not pronounce there "R's".. There is always a hint of an "R" sound within the accent...
When we say "park the car".. It is not "Paaahk thah caaah"... it's more like Paahrk the Caahr"... There is always a slight "R" sound...
Boston creatures in their wild habitat
Lamont, you need to hang out with Rich of "Rich Rebuilds." He's got the accent.
You can tell he’s from up north though! I’ve heard light accent! It’s not deep but it’s theee
HOW can you be from Dowchestah and NOT have a Boston accent? we forgive you!
Lol this dude def has the accent
I attended a baby shower with some women in Cambridge. They agreed that one name they wouldn't name a son is "Martin" because it always sounds like 'Mahtin' in a Boston accent.' (I was born and raised in Boston and now live in Rhode Island. Those accents are not that different from Boston's.)
Rhode Island accent is way different from Boston just saying, I worked in canton for years with guys from Pawtucket other towns that border ma and they sounded nothing like me
Born and raised in Boston all my life. Grew up in Dorchester and Roxbury areas. So glad my siblings and I do not have the Boston accent. It honestly sounds like nails on a chalk board😩🙉
FACTS! and I hate that ppl act like that southie accent is a "Boston" accent when it's really just a white Irish accent from southie......nobody else talks like that unless theyre somehow in or around that white irish demographic 🤷🏿♂️
@@jayo208 You are correct!! Most black people aren't originally from Boston, they migrated North. My mom is from Chicago, grandparents Kentucky, dads family from North Carolina and Mississippi. My dad and his siblings were born and raised in Boston and they have the accent...strangely. Whenever I travel people always ask me why I don't I have the accent if I'm from Bahston. I kindly inform them First there's no 'ah' in Boston, pizza,, car or park. Secondly not everyone has the accent because most are not originally from Bahston!! Lol
@@Godsgoodgriefministry Facts....wayyy too man Black Southern/Carribean/African folk with ethno-centric pride who would NEVER be caught dead trying to sound like white Irish folk lol
The "ahh" is theyah, it's just swallowed!
Badaydas. Iconic
He's Great!
1:42 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Sort of sound Italian 🤣
Bro I was raised in dorchester too Ion have no accent either..
Cruller is not pronounced “krillah”... it’s pronounced cra - l - l - l - ah. It might seem weird, but it sounds more like “crawl” at first. You need to almost roll the L then throw in the “ah” at the end.
One specific constant....."Mark Wahlberg"
I love Dorchester
“Wihstah” 🤣🤣 I’m from Wihstah and I don’t have an accent either
Funny, I'm from woostah..and that's how we have said it for yrs...woostah
Man im not even from Boston and people say i got it. Im from South east Mass
The Boston accent is really Italian or Irish
Thank you
So does a New Hampshire accent sound more like Boston or NewYork accent?
Much more like a boston accent. However, many parts on MA don’t have and EXACT boston accent. People from the greater boston area have a slightly different boston accent than from someone from boston, malden, somerville, revere. It’s also generational, many of my family members have a strong accent while mine is not as noticeable. You go to nashua or salem and they have an accent although not nearly as much
The Boston accent is just a boomer accent
Just the Rs? Love ya, man, but there's a lot more to the English language in and accent than the Rs.
My mothah: this fuckin ked
