Million points for highlighting the more underrated parts of the HP canon. Neville was hunted down because they believed he could be the boy in the prophecy. As a result, his parents are brain damaged, hospitalised in st mungo's. This fanfic series is a great companion piece to "HP and the methods of rationality" that's a love letter to and by hardcore fans.
So glad people are picking up on this. Was worried it would be too niche.
@@marcgallagher32 there's nothing too niche to those who both read the books and seen the movies. In this case the movies and the ps1 games were my gateways to the books. You can definitely go deeper and nicher, such as bringing up the absurdity of magical currency (knuts, sickles). I hadn't been a fan of HP for years, but some minor details just brings back memories.

I tried reading the methods of rationality fic, but it really put me off when they tried to justify Snape bullying Harry with him feeling threatened in his authority _by an 11 year old child_ like he's an instinct-driven baboon fighting for dominance and not a sapient person.
