"did you see the Assassins Creed movie?"
"yes"
"During work hours?"
"no"
"So you paid for it"
"Yes, in more ways than one"
Watch out IGN may steal this video and or format.
The Amazing Lucas no ign is the best CZcams channel ever , they have great reviews that do not copy others
I swear they don’t steal reviews I promise it’s just a coincidence durr
Memes r us you would know THEY did copy it caus if you go read the IGN twitter tweets the editor who copied it got FIRED LMAO 😂💀
Wasim Thalath ik bro I was just messing around they copied that Dead cells review game 😂😂
Collected every feather in AC2. Gotta have my auditore Cape.
@@dukemakaveli Though there were other fun games. I personally liked 3 and Edward was a good character. Thought they turned the corner with Bayek. But yes what really made assassins creed what it was ended with ezio.
@@NerevarOfficialReal I actually enjoyed that. The way I see it as that you are a guy in a hood who has been going around all of Italy killing important figures for twenty years. Guards should be constantly after you. Made it more realistic and made me try to be more stealthy. Plus it looked awesome.
Definitely will be a Templars origin story.
Oscar Bautista Exactly what I was thinking, it'll be interesting if that is the case
Randomgamer819 Also he says it predates the Assassins but it doesn't need to be tied to the Brotherhood. This could be really interesting.
Yes which most certainly means that it's a templar origin story, cuz if you don't have the brotherhood then what else do you got? The Templars thats what.
That's most likely the canon ending but there is probably at least one ending where you don't found the templars
I was glad for his description of why it is an assassins creed game
I absolutely love these rapid-fire interviews, keep it up GI!
adar winter
There's more on their channel's playlist, under the tag "Game Informer's Rapid-fire interviews", enjoy!
Spooder Man Now if only he didn't waste 107 question, and asked some serious ones like - Are there Microtransctions? Are there lootboxes? Since there aren't any cosmetics, does that mean, it's have pay to progress mechanics? You know, the questions gamers really care about!
MattOmniHeart
But that would make the interview far more boring, don't you think?
Besides, they're gonna do make more vids about Odyssey before the game is released, so I don't think your questions are gonna be left unanswered.
"your boat is your home on wheels" i await the memes of this.........
No running during loading screen??????? No!
I had the same exact reaction. The loading screen was one of AC’s things (if that makes any sense)
it appear they replace with randomly showing pictures you took through out the game. It' might be cool, it might not, who know?
Man, if you're into feudal Japan, there's Ghost of Tsushima
Its not really an assasins creed type game, but it will be a great samurai game though
King Merck AC games now are not really AC games either, lol. All action/adventure games are looking more and more similar to one another these days.
"Home on wheels on Water"
-Ubisoft
Well at least they are proud to admit the glitches in their games
Fans for one whole decade: “hey since this is a historical series based on stealth, combat, and assassinations we’d love to see feudal Japan.”
Ubisoft: “nah.”
David Jones That would just end up as an uninspired Ninja game. Sorry man but I have to disagree.
The Rune King of Asgard with how they changred the gameplay of ac, scandinavia would be a better setting than japan. They shouldve not name origins and this assassins creed.
Ghost of Tsushima is already doing that and it looks better than any AC game imo.
Can’t wait for Assassin’s Creed Fish!!!
Damarcus Paris legends say that it was actually fish who were the first assassins lol... before Egypt
Oh, is Shia Labeouf working at Ubisoft now? Cool!
Jacob Wiman Was thinking the same thing the whole time lol. Glad i wasnt the only one.
I really like the new direction they're taking with Assassin's Creed. The past games didn't keep me playing at all, but Origins? Duuuude, that's like crack to me. Totally addicted.
O Caçador well font hold your breathe, a lot has changed even from origins to this. It wasn't the same people who made the games and this was already in development. So aaaall the good stuff we liked in Origins they didn't get before hand so its most likely changed.
Shaheim Brown Damn, that's deep. You're right, let's hope they don't fuck it up, because I really loved Origins. Let's hope for the best!
Well he confirmed that the combat system is exactly the same, they just added some tweaks like special combo moves and stuff like that, so I'm fine with it so far. Also, there were times in Origins where I wish there were multiple dialogue options, so I'm glad they're going full RPG with this.
After playing this game for over 100 hrs, I have no idea how any AC game will ever top Odyssey. I'm so addicted.
I do, having a cohesive narrative, having no grinding, having meaningful choices, have likable characters, having an open world filled with good content, not being overly long, being a Bayek sequel, having something to do with Assassins Creed, and not having any micro transactions.
@@Mayakovskyite sounds like someone didnt play the game lmao
i do want to ask though, how does this game not have anything to do with assassins creed? you literally play as an assassin? Kassandra/Alexios may not be part of the brotherhood but they still are assassins
@@k1w1_yeswhat is bro saying, 😂 they aren’t assassins they are mercenaries, odyssey has none of the assassin ideology and shits on the lore, having mid open world gameplay and copy and paste rpg elements you’ve seen done better 1000 times in other games, does not make it Assassins-creed
Is assassin creed origin worth buying?
Yes. Don't listen to idiots that are fake gamers whining. The Exploration and the world are really good and addictive. Go for it.
“It’s a long game” that’s an understatement
The way he says imagination with the dead look in his eyes always gets me
E3 2020: Ubisoft: "We are pleased to present: Assassin's Creed: Ronin."
Ronin are masterless samurai that doesn’t make sense for an assassins creed game because the samurai despised what ninjas did it was considered dishonorable.
james d DONT YOU THINK THE SAME THING COULD BE SAID FOR SPARTAN WARRIORS?! I MEAN THEY WERE HONORABLE BUT THEIR NOTHING NEAR A FUCKING ASSASSIN!
@@kingjamestres wrong. Ninjas were the secret service of the era. They were mostly spies. Rarely took up assassinations. After the Sengoku Jidai period ended they just turned into night police. Real ninja have nearly nothing to do with the stuff we all watch on TV and other media.
Jerry Jerri No the Spartans didn’t have an honor code on that level. What mattered was what you did to bring glory to your family and country. It didn’t matter how your enemy died as long as he died.
Oh shot when he asked if this was a Templar origin story I was like oh shit maybe
Loved this interview. Loved the format. Loved the rapid-fire back-and-forward between these two: really sharp guys - really entertaining.
These videos are literally the best. Laughing almost the whole time while learning valuable info about the game
I'm sorry but did he just say u can't run around in the loading screens??!!
It's the same team who made Assassin's Creed Unity, Ubisoft Quebec. I'm very disappointed they didn't learn from their previous mistake
Virtually Hidden Ubisoft Montreal made Unity right? and these guys did Sydicate.
2:10 Greek and Italian are COMPLETELY different. Just deal with it people.
Well I am actually tired of people who think that we are very similar or the same thing. Me are not.
Actually, spain Spanish pronunciation is similar to Greek pronunciation of words.
I freaking love these videos! Please keep them going. They are so informative and funny as hell!
Funny how people are insulted by the fact that the game's fundamentals are changing.
I personally am pleased by the modernization they are going for.
RPG’s are cool and so is assassins creed :)
Exactly. Assassins creed fans are some of the angriest casuals out there.
Bogdan 96 It made sense for some of the games why females weren't playable. Its altairs story.
Yeah, me too. This specific assassin's creed has really grabbed my attention out of all them for the exact reasons you mentioned.
You can play it in Italian and assume it’s in Greek- WTF
I can't speak Italian nor Greek and I never really heard someone speak either. Can confirm I could play it in Italian and assume it's Greek.
Good job Jeff. These interviews are always worth watching.
This was way more entertaining than I expected. Awesome. Keep ‘em coming.
"You can play in Italian and assume it is Greek" lmao
Absolutely brilliant game, twice played through 500+ hours total, 150+ lieutenant's and will probably go again at a later date.
This has to be the most awesome interview I have ever watched.

I wanna thank him for making this great game.. my life changed for the positive since i started gaming 2 years ago , and without games like that i wouldnt be gaming
Literally this man singlehandedly forced them into making feudal Japan ac.
This was brilliant! I can't wait to get my hands on Odyssey..
This interview makes me more excited for this game. Cant wait.
Where does the horse stay on the ship? - "He doesnt. He doesn't like water."
But you can call for him anywhere...? - "He's a good horse".
Best part.
Hope this game goes deep into Greek mythology similar to AC origins with the Egyptian god stuff. First AC that peaked my interest since Syndicate
Agreed, then they should finish off with a Roman Empire set game. I know they’ve already been to Rome, but it would be much different than 16th century Rome
Origins is the first one that piqued your interest since syndicate, or this is? Because Origins came out right after Syndicate.
Spartan 044 there will be. Medusa will be in it she’s in the first trailer but we’ll just see about the rest
This has become my favorite video series on Gameinformer's CZcams channel
One of the best games i have played in a long time

Thank you for this. This made me laugh out loud a lot and I needed that on a sad day.
"I paid for it in more ways than one"
This is good already😂
Basically confirming they have no plans to come back to multiplayer!! Yes!! Thank the assassins!
I love this way series is edited. It always cracks me up.
Really cool format and informations. Thanks :)
Boy, can't wait to see that trophy list. 😂
I know this sounds like a dumb question, but will the choice to side with either the Spartans or Athenians affect the outcome of the war? I mean, it’s pretty set in stone that Sparta won, Athens lost, but learning that there are multiple endings, and that you can side with a faction destined to lose, makes me curious about how they’re going to deal with that in the game.
No it will not. No historically documented event will be altered. The war was very long (10 years), and the game happens close to the start of it - We'll probably not see the end of the war during the events of the game.
You're a mercenary who can work for both sides so I think it will affect a sub plotline but not the historical event.
This was wonderful
This is amazing. I'd love more lighthearted and informative interviews like this rather than so many often drawn out and advertisey ones. Nice.
HEY I COLLECTED ALL THE FLAGS AND FEATHERS AND I AM OFFENDED
Cat People documentarys In Assassin's Creed 1, there were roughly 500 flags as collectibles. You gained nothing except achievements. In AC2, there were only 100 feathers but they were still well hidden
Cat People documentarys I really hope not and by the reaction of the dude to the question about it I don't think so..
- What would be the one word to describe combat in AC Odyssey?
- Origins.
You have no shield which was the main point of Origins combat so I do think it's changed a bit, not the overall feel probably
These rapid fire question videos are ace!!
This is hands down the greatest interview ever
They should do, Feudal Japan - Ancient Rome - Dynasty China - Medieval Vikings - Medieval India - Genghis Kahn’s Monggol Empire - Dynasty Korea - Xerxes’ Persia where each era has their own mythological quirks and creatures
@@gravynavy516 No, hire some kpop singers and/or kdrama actors to be the actors and voice actors of new Assassin's Creed game based in Medieval/Classical Korea and tons and tons of Kpop and Kdrama fanatics will buy the game just to support their idols

Feudal Japan is a matter of time. I think over the years this demand make a huge pressure for Ubisoft and fear from it lol
Ghost of Tsushima will beat them to it im afraid then everyone will be comparing AC Japan to Ghost and I think it will hurt Ubi I could be wrong though
i actually like these types of interviews
Back before origins I tried to get into Assassins creed, I wasn’t a huge fan of the other games but origins made me love the series. So excited for this game.
Assassins Creed -Fish confirmed.
Wow this was great!
Jolly interview. Really dug Origins, but honestly am looking forward to this setting a bit more. Such a packed fall!
My fav is ac 2 also it’s lit
let's hope that stupid Yellow-Golden Effect when you Fight could be Turned OFF..
This was great thanks
I love these rapid fire videos!
_How politically correct the game will be?_ Probably the most important question because Ancient Greece was pretty controversial by today's standards.
Also _Can we climb Mount Olympus and go through idk portal to see greek gods? Or visit tartar?_
And you also can play government simulator at the end of the game how fun
As a huge Ancient Greece nerd, the point you made is exactly why I’m not interested in this game. I’m not boycotting it, i wish them all the best, but without the gritty violence, sexual promiscuity, and politically incorrect ideologies, Ancient Greece just isn’t the same. The OG God of War trilogy did a pretty good job capturing that vibe
Randy Marsh
If you all want dumb and mindless nudity and violence you can go and watch Game of Thrones but not buying a game because it *maybe* won't have any of those things in it and isn't actually known to feature it heavily is stupid.
I love these rapid fire videos
This rapid fire format is amazing, it delivers tons of information and is awkward comedy which is awkwardly funny
I’ve been hearing AC fans whine about japan for nearly a decade now. I’m glad Ubisoft didn’t go for the obvious low hanging fruit and instead going for interesting new takes. That’s not to say I’d be upset if they made a game set in Japan I’m just equally not caring if they do make one.
james d The weeaboos are getting angry, you don't want to see an angry weeb, they can kill people with their body pillows
How do you know an assassins creed set in japan couldn't be an interesting new take?
gee gee Because the only reason people want a game set in Japan is that fact that they had ninjas. It takes two brain cells to make that comparison. That’s why I called it a low hanging fruit. AC Japan is a game you make when you’ve run out of ideas and go “ fuck it let’s do ninja assassins”.
Saints Row the Third was my favorite in the franchise. Yeah, i said it!!
You never played Saints Row 2. They took so much out of the third like they're going to take out of Odyssey as well. Saints Row 2 is for the more mature fans
one of the funniest videos this week, good style
This was very good.
Well this video made me feel like multiplayer is never returning. Which sucks. I had hope it would return for so long but given how he shut it down it just doesn't seem likely anymore. I'm still excited for Odyssey and think it'll be a great game but I really miss multiplayer.
Personally, i’m not a big fan of level gates the way they were handled in Origins & now this game w/ them being applicable to specific regions. There’s definitely pros & cons but i would prefer just exploring from the start & not be in for a near unplayable time without spending time getting to the required level
It also made the campaign feel disjointed imo, as i had to do side missions occasionally to get to a certain level before proceeding
if u did play AC origin i dont think you really care much about the level gate because its designed tie to your progression in the story already
quan thai true, i just feel like it limits some of the exploration early on as opposed to other more open ended games...instead of just hopping in the ship & exploring islands, i have to grind levels or it will be not fun at all
It could work if they make level more felxible this time, like you can be 2-3 level below your enemy and can still fight them(with more but not impossible difficulty). The level gates also help in exploration game that it limite you to just go anywhere right out of the gate, and making you have to work your way there to feel like you earn it.
+Dan B When asked the guy answered that each area has a level. They display this to the player so they are aware of the recommended level. Unless they've changed this system from Black Flag, Rogue, Unity, Syndicate and Origins it's almost certain you'll be able to enter those areas and start those quests even if your level is too low. The consequence for that is you'll get your ass kicked.
I actually really like that each region had it's own level cap, I feel like a lot of players try to rush too fast and explore all the regions without considering the fact that they might be killed in one hit from an enemy in that particular area. So the level cap tells the player beforehand what level they need to be evenly matched against an opponent
I love how he's so honest.
Hey, I did a spartan race last weekend! Weird coincidence.
Also, these are my favorite types of interviews you guys do, thanks
skipping out on multiplayer to focus on single player! thank u
this is a brilliant format for interviews to get players a lot of information. but you guys do WAY too many throw away joke questions when there are still plenty of good questions you coulda asked:
in new game+ can you switch protagonists?
will the animus control panel be returning?
can you become high enough level to max out every skill?
is either character confirmed as canonical in the overall AC story line?
will there be an explanation for why you can make choices even though your'e supposed to be viewing history?
will we be spending much time in the present day outside of the animus?
etc etc
lots of opportunity to get a bunch of answers to a bunch of little questions but instead you have to go for "when was the last time you climbed something in real life?"
come on now. fantastic idea it just could be better executed. every time i watch these im both impressed and disappointed.
Saif Ahmed you cant learn every skill but you can reset your skill Points to start over again if you want
they do a deeper dive in the reader q&a video toward the end of each month, these are always a little more general
Saif Ahmed this interview seemed to try and be 50% for info and 50% for laughs, and in that regard - they succeeded. However most of your questions a really good and i wish they thought about them as well.
P.s. cassandra is cannonical, afaik.
+Saif Ahmed I have a simple answer to your animus question. It's a video game, if the playing experience can benefit from either the player's story not being totally canon or plot holes it's worth it. They believe and I believe with them that adding RPG elements should improve the archetype that was Origins. Hopefully this will enhance the quality of the side quests, increase investment in dialogue for those who might not have been as interested in a lot of the dialogue last time, add some actual stakes to the often monotonous tasks present in Ubisoft games and give everyone the joy of building their own story where they can look back at the end and say 'wow look how everything's changed because I did this and I did that'.
I'm biased as hell though because I love RPGs and while I did have fun with origins I found a lot of the crafted activities were not substantially improved enough in quality when compared to the side content back in AC2 and very similar to the side content in Unity. Really including rpg elements like branching narratives and character reputation systems should be incentive for Ubisoft to actually really think about the actual quest and objective design or 'gameplay'...now unfortunately I don't imagine this happening, I think we're going to see a repeat of Origins but with dialogue sequences at the start and end of quests and actual consequences hopefully that's enough to make playing them more interesting.
7dayspking i wholeheartedly agree that gameplay should come first.
Screw the lore.
And if any franchise can mess with the lore yet still find some awquard way of claiming its kinda canon its AC.
Besides the hidieous voice acting - im all for what theyre trying to do.
These videos are golden
O don't know how i feel about this being set before AC Origins plus i don't this about many games but this looks shockingly similar to origins and Origins was my GOTY last year, I hope Odyssey delivers.

Edit: YOU CANT PET EVERY DOG??? Wtf??
Also bummed at the lack of character customization a bit
Love the way he danced around the whole "you can't get a dog thing" lol
Awesome series!
Keep it up guys, press those devs!
9:52-10:02 Of course it needs to be tied to the assassin's order to be an assassins creed game! The order and the characters within it are what made the series!.
Miles is an Assassin, and it's likely Layla will join their ranks as well; Templars and Isu are also a huge part of the lore and will probably have a bigger focus in this game then in any previous game.
I'm start to thinking that we will play as a templar the whole game. The way he answered the questions about being a templars origin history really gives it out, it will be like Rogue
No hidden blade 1/10
p.s. its a joke i think Spear of leonidas is a good option than the massive known hidden blade

Did he just call kenway a maniac?
Mohib Ali Who?
Alan Garcia Edward kenway from AC4
Mohib Ali Oh yeah. I don't think that character is interesting enough to be considered a maniac. Maniacs aren't boring.
Alan Garcia Edward is one of the best AC characters. Far from boring. Connor is boring. Arno is boring. Evie is boring. Eddie is not.
Shisha CEO I agree he's one of the best AC characters. I also don't think that's saying much. Whatevs, to each their own.
