    I love that the excerpt was that of Rhadames Angelucci playing with the Minnesota Orchestra. I studied with him when I was still in high school. Great player in the Philadelphia tradition!

    Rodimus, sat in when the principal Oboist was ill I think he was only 17 if I got the story right and they heard the tone of his A-440 ... And his ability and he became principal Oboist.

    I played in high school. I assume you must make say 10 at a time, then keep the one that works, and give away the other 9 to high schoolers? ;)

      I think it's important to separate the organization from the ensemble. If you are referring to James Levine, yes, sheltering him was a terrible act. However, I'm quite sure that Ms Spector was not responsible for the bad choice of the organization.
