    I just had an AVM ruptured. 3 head surgeries and a stroke. 2 ppl that flew in before me died. I’m learning to walk again and I had a feeding tube for almost 1 year. I am 43 years old now and have to learn everything all over again

    Got an arteriovenous malformation in my prefrontal cortex left side.. in 3rd grade my neurosurgeon told my mother it can't rupture on its own.. I am 23 now and haven't been to neurosurgeon since that time in 3rd grade.

    Avastin stopped all of my bleeding, you just have to watch blood thickness! We stopped when I was at 17.9 hgl, in the meantime I had leukemia and it stopped that also!!!

    My mother has AVM and Chairi malformation, for AVM doctors have advised to go for embolization followed by Gama knife and for Chairi malformation needs to be operated. She is 47 . We still not sure what to do

      Noorsaba Khan - I pray for your mother and her recovery, as she will need it. (I was born with a Chiari malformation that has remained untreated my entire life (I am 49 right now). The headaches never stop, it seems. (I really, really hope your mother gets medical help with this). When I was 5 1/2 months along in the only pregnancy I could carry full term, I was pushed and landed hard on the small of my back. My daughter was born with an AVM in her right leg, a vitamin K deficiency and a cavernous hemangioma (benign tumor in her right foot) as a result of what happened to me. She became an amputee and walks very well with her prosthetic. It makes me wonder now, even after all of the scans she had, if there is a possibility she has a Chiari.)

      Hi Heidi. My sister has an AVM too. I don't know your situation but I understand from my sister's experience that AVM surgery may be too risky for some patients depending on the location of the AVM and health of the patient. We are also waiting in the U.S. to see if she's a good candidate for this surgery.

      I deleted my texts as lost my trust here to.uk don,t care about older people like me as they give me 50 50 odds yet I know that I'm not well enough for Neuro surgery and what's the point as they cannot take out my from back of my eye my avm

    • @heidistinton721
      @heidistinton721 Před 4 lety

      And I do not think it's worth my risk for to let them clamp my burst blood vessels,so as they denighed showing me ,my scans and yet they wanted more plus angio gram later.as I'm 60yrs in July,I not risk myself as I'm ill ECT plus 1st haemorrgh took my one eye sight so now only got one eye sight left.they never tell you all either yet I remember fistula in one letter at start of my journey.ps hope your sister okay.x
