- I grew up in a house right down the street from this one. This one was the worse looking one in the neighbood. Now its the best looking one. i think the neighbors were surprised as they were coming home after about 5pm, i noticed a few people driving by and staring.
Definitely agree bagging your stuff makes the difference between an okay looking lawn to a great-looking lawn. When bagging it does take a lot longer but it's worth it in the outcome. Plus it just shows the passion and the attention to detail you give to your properties

Not trying to jump on you for this comment. But actually; mulching what's on top is good for the grass underneath that hasn't had daylight. The mulched grass puts back the nutrients into the soil so the grass can thrive. Unless it's crab grass. You don't want that.
It does me too, and the fact they have hundreds of thousands of subs never bagging anything drives me nuts. I know what these videos pay and trust me, when your getting hundreds of thousands or millions of views on every video, you can afford some trash bags.
Most of the Aussie guys do. They all do amazing, detailed work too.
Just a suggestion. You might want to get a push broom so you can sweep the dirt and grass into a pile so it's easier to shovel. Just trying to help.
I wouldnt call them your youtube competitors. Just fellow lawn care youtubers. I follow sooo many of you guys. So many different types of people and so many different types of approaches. Keep doing your thing bro the yard looks good

💓👍🏽 I completely understand why other lawn care folks don't bag the clippings; time constraints, dumping fees, areas that don't allow yard waste pick up, etc. That said the yard looks so much nicer when clippings are bagged.
I usually use my personal can from my house. The dumps here are expensive. $20 is the cheapest I’ve found, but it’s 30 miles away. Next place is $50 if you have one bag or a trailer load.

Especially a small yard in such a pristine neighbourhood, the bagging and the blowing makes the difference between just cut grass and a polished up finish and just might get you some new customers in the long run. You did a great job!
On a well maintained lawn bagging isn't as needed, but on an overgrown lawn it really is. IMHO hoping to see more of this yard, looking at the side there it's a jungle. Thanks for the video.

I like it that you do bag. It does look nicer. At least some of the major stuff. A lot of it does mulch in and fanning it out helps. So basically, maybe a little of both? Great job! Also, I'm so glad you got that little bit of plant out of the curb and the grass in the cracks on the road. Little touches. I guess I'm OCD. ;-) I think it matters that you do the extra touches, otherwise it's just some guy mowing a lawn. The finished product is like seeing an artist doing a sculpture. I like seeing bushes and trees trimmed up as well. I love the before and after pictures. Since you asked for feedback! This was an amazing job well done when you do see the before and after.

@@realtimemowing395 That's crazy! That certainly does not make it worth the extra effort. I'd say mulch away then! In the end it does not make all that much of a difference, and the difference you do make to these lawns is awesome!

When it comes down to 'bagging', Josh, I feel it's about integrity. You do a fantastic job and I don't think your work ethics would allow you not to bag. You would not be able to sleep at night if you didn't give 110 percent to the lawn's you mow.

Looks great. Regular mowing, and watering this lawn would be whipped back into shape! When lawn and weeds are this crazy I agree you need to catch the clippings.

I never bag as I have mulching decks on my mowers. If there is too much laying on the lawn and it won't mulch properly, then I get out the leaf sweeper attachment and pull up the bulk. The only place I have recently bagged was for the fall leaves (at a house I was renting and no longer have to deal with it). My lawn even on it's worst days would never be as tall as what you have to deal with. It looked like there was an excessive amount of dirt or mud with this job, too. The curb just wouldn't stop no matter how many times you shoveled, trimmed, edged, and blew it away! Enough to break even the hardest (you!). I think the bagger for this job was the right call but maybe not required in every situation (assuming it mulches properly). Well done.

The bagging issue in my opinion, when a yard is this this bad it is always good to bag it up. As long as someone mows it in the next couple weeks you can leave that as mulch. As I said in my opinion, this makes more sense.

Each lawn you mow is a billboard for you and the quality of your work. You must follow your instincts. How it looks to your eye is the measure. If the yard looks good, it's always best to allow the clippings to return to the ground allowing the nutrients to feed the lawn, but these neglected yards often leave them looking like a hay field and that much material can suffocate the grass below.

I know this 5 months old and I'm not sure where you're located but does the city/town not have pickup for yard waste? I love to see the polished finish when the grass is picked up but I also know that it can get costly to dispose of it yourself. Maybe talk to city hall and see if they'll pick the waste up themselves. But excellent job. I love to see all of it, the edging, the mowing, the grass pickup, the hedge/bush/tree/plant trimmings.
That is some huge dandelion! I was hoping that you got your wrists fixed over the winter months but it looks like you are still having a problem. My son has carpal tunnel too and refuses to get it fixed.

If you want to bag then bag, if you don't then don't. I understand why some don't for their own various reasons. I don't judge them either way cause at the end of the day they are still helping someone out with free lawn service. Some prefer to mulch it back into the yard and that's ok too because there is no right or wrong when you're out there giving someone a free service. I see guys who cut yards for pay and don't bag it because people don't want to pay extra for it. I don't expect anyone to bag it, pay extra fees to dump it, waste gas getting to a dump-cause it's not always convenient for everyone, or spend extra time they might not have-since we don't know eveyrone's situation. You just do what you feel best about and stop worrying about what others are doing, cause at the end of the day that doesn't really matter. 😊

I feel the same way. it's a free service. There's many different layers that you could go with that. Some look better and some look great. It is helpful either way.😊

I love some real time mowing and weeding once in a while! Get tired of watching fast motion all the time.
Yeah I saw another channel was getting views from them, so figured I’d give people options, plus I already made the video, and they are super easy to edit.
I would prefer bagging and getting rid of the excess clippings. I usually STP watching those who do not pick up the massive amount of grass.
I can’t believe some of them don’t, as many views as they are getting they can definitely afford some bags or to haul stuff to dump.
I would say if it's completely abandoned; mulch as best as you can. But if there is a homeowner or family member of the property trying to sell or needs help maintaining; then definitely bag.
The flood light came on when I knocked on door, so not sure if totally abandoned, if not somebody’s coming home for a surprise.

To bag or not to bag, that's your decision. You shouldn't make it anybody else's decision. Not even your viewers. You beg or you don't beg. That's your decision. As far as me the viewer I don't care. You do what you want.
Bag it. That is what sets you apart from the rest.
You should speed up the video so it's less boring and makes all you do more enjoyable.
