Luxor - Spotswood Quarantine Station (Melbourne) DAFF Australia

Luxor at Spotswood's Quarantine Station. Luxor was brought to Australia from Mexico where he had to stay there for several months. The staff were absolutely fantastic to deal with!

Thank you for this video. We'll be moving to Australia from the USA with our 2 precious cats, hopefully using this Spotswood facility. I'm naturally worried about the well-being of my fur-babies.

Hi! My Luxor traveled a really long time all the way from MEXICO! He had to go to live in USA for 4 months prior to moving to Australia as this saved a lot of money. He had to stay an additional 3 months in Spotswood.My recommendation is to bring him lots of toys he is familiar with,same bowl, and something nice to sleep on like towels, sleeping bed etc. The area is quite cold especially the back area. There is a pen they live in. Half is inside and half is outdoors so when it is (see next post)

Hi!! Luxor doesn't seem doing too bad in Spotswood!! I might be moving to Melbourne in a couple of months, working on our permits these days... :) any advice for Mercedes (my cat)?? :)))

... really windy it is COLD. Area is very loud with other cats meowling and starving for your attention. You can visit your cat on Sundays but there is a window of 2 hours only. The staff at Spotswood are really nice and can try to make arrangements for you to see Mercedes if you have full-time work. You can bring Mercedes special food and tell the staff you want Mercedes to eat that instead. Email me damian.stawiszynski (at) gmail (dot) com for anything at all :)
