I mean, at first glance, Fnaf has a childlike theme to it. Friendly animatronic animals that sing to kids during the day, but “Oh no! They become evil at night!” I see where people might think it’s for kids. But fan-made content shows what happens behind the scenes of the game. Even if it’s just a game, the portrayal of kidnapping, murder, and grieving parents is enough to leave a nasty stain in the lives of many. The screams signify suffering, pain, regret, which many turn a blind eye to… because naturally, we hate those feelings. If it isn’t scary to some, it’s sure as hell depressing, and uncomfortable.
