I remember platinum was twice as expensive as gold not that long ago, now it is less than half. I know it's way more rare than gold too. I have some platinum but wouldn't buy too much, I think it's more risky

Pt,Pd, Rh, Ag, Au = PGM. All of these metals are precious metals. All have high economic and investment value. Just look at what happened in the Rh market. It repeated in the Pd market. It will be repeated again in the Pt, Au, Ag markets. These are the metal cycles...the smaller the market, the more extreme the price correction to escape the suppression.... An excellent interview with a most interesting presenter who helped clarify the outlook. If we have a shooting war on an even larger scale, all metal prices will shoot through the roof - esp. PGMs. While I do not hope for this, there are the war industries who consume these metals in vast quantities... In South Africa you have many Pt, Pd mines closing - so all the price suppression through financial manipulation will get squeezed as supply dwindles...like Ag and Au are doing today. Exceptionally knowledgeable - thanks for filling in on a neglected metal! I suspect that a combination of Chinese accumulation/hoarding and a run to any remaining precious metal if gold and silver rise hard will push up price. Also, there is a run from fiat and bank accounts. And even if existing electric vehicles ARE a disaster, the future is for hydrogen/hybrid on hyper-car type designs. I think the streets are pretty bloody ! Brilliant analyst.
If you think silver is a tiny market ,platinum is a microscopic market with low liquidity. I have some of it . If it gets repriced at some time before I die to twice that of gold it will be a very nice speculation.
