Miguel Romo another video from the opposite angle shows two of the police officers attempting to arrest Jacob Blake on the ground. Jacob Blake resisted arrest and got up. The other video that was shown by the media starts at this point.

The information presented at the time was that police responded to a domestic abuse call so they came expecting violence. They get there and the guys acting like you’d expect a boy who beats his wife would act so they move to detain him. He then violently pushed the officers off him and goes to reach in his car, not get in it, but reach in to it. So he could’ve had literally anything in there the officers couldn’t see what he was going for so they put him down.thats actually exactly how it’s supposed to be handled, if after several warnings go to get something out of the car you shoot them. If they’d have tased him and he was getting a gun then his body might have convulsed and made him shoot the kids in the back seat. Or since it was a domestic abuse he might’ve been trying to get one of the kids to use as a human shield. I mean the guys trash so anything’s possible. The media however instead of seeing what actually happened decided to go ahead and post the story knowing full well what would happen, and in their initial story they were saying that racism played a role when it clearly did not. So yes the media is at fault in every single one of these cases they do it on purpose for better ratings. If more people believe your bullshit and aren’t smart enough to think for themselves then they will keep coming back whenever you post anything. It’s all about the money

The media should be held accountable if their reporting of “facts” can be shown to directly incite violence where individuals are hurt, killed, or a certain amount of property damage, public/private takes place. They are acting completely irresponsible in these situations, and people have been killed. It is in violation of moral standards, and should also be in violation of legal standards. With this situation; I understand if the cop felt he was in danger so his reaction was to shoot. I’m more concerned with the lack of control in the officer’s emotions, and failure to de escalate the situation.
Though the protesting is definitely reactionary, I think it’s a call for change in the policing system. Do you think the policing system can me improved? I think so.
However you feel, whatever your religion is; a life is a life. And that life is gone (I know he didn’t die); that affected more than Blake. The kids. The family.
I really want people to look into their heart. Try to empathize, you don’t have to agree politically, just understand that’s still a human being.

Jacob Blake fought with the police at first, then refused to comply, went to his car, opened the car door and reached inside the car He also has a history of assaulting police and violently resisting arrest. As far as police knew he was going for a weapon. A natural reaction by anybody would be to shoot him in their own defence. This guy had outstanding warrants and should have complied with police directions. As far as I and many others are concerned, he brought this all on himself ! It doesn't matter that he was black. A white person doing the same thing would deserve the same outcome period! While I feel sorry for him and his family, the fact remains that he deserved what he got!

LenaMay the sad thing is that, despite George Floyd not being a perfect citizen, his death was wrong. And because of all the crap that has followed, that is lost. Now every single time a black persons is killed or injured, it is automatically racist and the police are at fault. In most of the cases, it is the fault of the suspect due to their actions. And this case is definitely the fault of the suspect.
And for those that wish to argue that Floyd was to blame, you are just wrong and are idiots. He died as the direct result of the actions of the police that day. Yes he resisted at first, but once he was calm, there was no need to remain kneeling on his neck. Don’t care about his past, his medical condition,or if he was on drugs. He served his time for his past and was in no distress until the police held him down on the ground. All the police had to do was sit him up once they had him cuffed, but they chose not too. Even after he was unresponsive, the cop continued to kneel on him for almost 3 minutes. That cop was a hothead and had no business being on the force. Whether or not he was a racist, can’t say for sure, but I doubt it. He just wasn’t mentally fit to deal with the stress of being a cop. He couldn’t separate doing his job and taking what happened to him personally. Not taking things personally is not easy, especially if someone tries to harm you, but it is a quality that good cops have and all cops should.

Interesting! I am a Kenoshan. This happened on a Sunday night and I watched the aftermath play out minute-by-minute. The hair on my neck was literally standing up. The aftermath seemed ODDLY orchestrated:
Cops called for dispute --> Incident occurs--> PARTIAL video goes viral --> Kenosha News tweets story EVERY FEW MINUTES --> Vehicle w/ amplified NWA song encourages crowd to chant expletives @ officers --> BLM from ILLINOIS arrive to protest --> Gov. Evers (WI) tweets series of incendiary msgs --> etc., etc.
The events that transpired are NOT representative of what is typical in my city. Kenosha has a small-town + nice mentality. It is not a wealthy community by ANY means. It is heartbreaking that my community is on national news for such an atrocity. My community is both dumbfounded & heartbroken.

I live in Wisconsin, a small town outside if Maduson. Kenosha is about a 2 hrs from where I live. I have worked in Kenosha in the past as a driving instructor many years ago. I know it well. It is so sad to see what is going on there. All of the businesses lost for NO REASON....this mob mentality has got to STOP. I personally called the Governors office and complained about there lack of doing anything about it. This is literally terrorism. When they walked back they encountered the group again, but this time a cowardly POS ambushed her with his firearm, murdering her in cold blood. 30+ deaths through this whole season ofviolence by the radicals, and all to protest the death of two Black men who resisted arrest, physically assaulted them in one case, refused lawful orders in both, and this is what we get.

Also, this case was more about the fact that there are tons of video cases of police not shooting suspects who are white, armed, and threatening police directly.
