- In this vlog we are at Nasesara Village, the neighbouring village of Navuti. Here at Nasesara Village there is a woman that has a custard pie business and she sells pie to the Island of Moturiki.
She bakes everyday and we follow her on her recipe for the custard pie and how she bakes it. Her Pies are very popular on the island and she gets orders almost everyday especially during the festive season.
#village #food #cooking
She needs to raise her price…she probably evens out with the cost of the ingredients.
"If my dough is hard, my pie will taste like biscuit "...that line got me...🤣 And Uraia I do agree with you that her English is very good. Thanks for promoting her pie business. Awesome video

I miss having a house like this where you have families around, just carefree and doing life together regardless the hardship. That laid back life is such a treasure. Thanks for this video and Nau’s recipe.

Andara & Happy New Year Uraia & Clan! Your videos have been priceless to me - Living in the “city” of Birmingham England these last few years, but especially last couple months (and Christmas time) has been full of city craziness... these videos bring home the real humanity. Why is there need in this modern world for all this energy spent on craziness? Lets just just breathe the clean air, view the golden sun in sky & eat custard pie! Although I have yet to try the Malay / Rose / Water Apple...
Bula Chris and happy New year. Yes sometimes simple things brings happiness 😊
Omg! I grew up on an island too and back those days they use those kind of ovens before we could get electricity...kerosene ovens for cooking. This bring back fond memories of my grandma's baking, hope her pie business is booming now 🫶💗
She is doing good and Maybe we Can showcase more of her baking skills in future videos 😊
Thank you Uraia but I like her oven I wish I have one at my house

Taciqu dua na kerekere levu,ke rawa ni vakalailai taki na vosa ca,Baleta na vuna qo.Dua na ka noqu vinakati oratou na luvequ me ratou sarava nomu Chanel,it really teaches kids overseas about village life and a great education program for them.
But most of the time I have to watch it
by my self.
Vinaka vakalevu
Bula Daisy, i will not ask my cousins to change How they speak or How they act just because the camera is on. I want Them to have the freedom to Express their personalities and Thats What People love because it makes it authentic. Im happy that we Can showcase the village life to kids in overseas But they Can also learn the veitavaleni culture and Thats How me and tavales speak to eachother. Every video goes through CZcamss review process Where I highlight everytime that swearing is included in the video and every video have been approved every time. Vinaka.

Bula vinaka and Thanks for watching 😊
A classic, the perfect pastry to go along with tea or some other hot beverage. Even the custard mixed with condensed milk is divine and topped with crushed peanuts is something my grandmother would make when baking custard pie. 😋
Anyways pie is usually cheap as usual in the villages compared to places like Suva and Nausori, and speaking of the village one cannot escape the "brown label" as in your case Uraia. 🤣
Bro im tired of the Brown label. Everytime you want to take a break from it, it always finds you somehow 😂
Watching from Vanuatu 🇻🇺 thank you men for the nice video ❤
Watching from Aust Brisbane. Miss Fiji. Enjoying watching your
Prog.
Vinaka 😊
I thought she cracked eggs in mug to make sure no shell entered mixture. The easiest way to check if eggs are ok is to submerge them in water. If they sink they are good, if they float they are bad. This way she could check all eggs at once. ( Of course she will need more than a mug. 1 large bowl will do the trick). Happy new year.
Thats a good idea. Thanks for watching 😊
Priceless!…..big fan of this channel.
Thank you 😊
Thanks for another awesome video of making some yummy pies 🤤🤤

I am watching her right now from Melbourne, Australia, and I think she is amazing. I would love to send her baking utensils and the oven gloves for when she uses her oven. I hope she still has her pie business and if she does, tell her she does a wonderful job.

Bula Eric, Thank you. More to come 😊
How about if you get a long stick with a hook at the top to pull the tray toward you n take it out yourself avoiding the heat of the oven burning your hands just suggesting bcos those are the kind of oven we had in my island for baking bread as well vinaka vakalevu Uraia n your aunty I'm gonna try your recipe a big ❤ to you noqu lewa.

Kia orana❤
that looks like very hard work and patience., watching your video remined me how my grandmother used tablespoons or fork to beat salad dressing
she would sit for over an hour until mixture was set.
This process i have watched my grandmother do for many years. She didnt have a electric beater in the early time(70,s). I am happy to say she has passed her skills and knowledge to me.
Thank you for sharing your video
God bless you
