My biggest credit to the new singer, been a fan since more than 30 years...

They are from the SF Bayarea. In 1970 they would sometimes play locally in Oakland, San Francisco, hayward and Fremont.I lived near Hayward and Fremont and would go to the clubs they were playing at. Seeing them perform in clubs was much more intimate then concert halls.

Thanks for the update and all right! The new singers got great pitch. I would like to see him with the players, but just working too much I am.

His voice isn't bad but he shows no emotion or feeling.
His stage presence is lacking for sure.

An improvement over the last but he walks too much and not singing from his heart. We'll see.

He’s got American Idol syndrome. All these new singers think the have to do endless runs and vocal gymnastics to “make the song their own.” Same with their idea that walking to each side of the stage and shaking hands with the audience means they have good stage presence. They are not feeling the message in the song.

@@marcossaenz2169 Totally agree. Vocal gymnastics also. They're not into the song, just going through the motions. Believe it when I say that I've seen them almost 100 times. My favorite was Lenny Williams. Tom Bowes, Brent Carter, Larry Braggs and even for the short time he was here, Ray Greene all put their heart and soul in the performance. I saw Hubert Tubbs once. He was good also. Marcus Scott, Mike Jerel and this new guy, nope.

@@alcambrola2834Yes. Been following TOP since the end of 1970 and dozens of shows. My favorites were Lenny, Brent Carter, Rick Stevens, and my absolute favorite was Larry B. I found that Larry and Brent were the most down to earth and Larry has even involved me in a couple of pranks after the shows. I found Marcus Scott to be completely wrong as well as Mike Jerel, to the point that I skipped a few shows involving them. Totally agree that the youngsters don’t feel the music. They come in thinking they are the show. I couldn’t believe when Mike Jerel came in with his keyboard set up. Not when you have Roger Smith there. Well it’s been a good 54 years enjoying the band but maybe it’s time to just remember the good times. I can’t see these new guys ruining what was already great.

@@marcossaenz2169 I don't know if these 3 recent new guys are "Millennials." If they are, Millennials can't sing Soul. I spoke with Brent a couple of months ago here and asked if there was any chance of him coming back. He's been with AWB for 13 years and he's happy there.
The last time I saw them, was in October in Providence RI with The RI Philharmonic Orchestra. Jerel couldn't project over the musicians. It was terrible. That's the very first time I've said that about a ToP show. On a positive note, at least I got to see Dave Garibaldi one last time. Also. Doc looks tired. His Bari doesn't have the "Pop" it used to. They're getting up there and are going to have to call it a day sometime. I'm glad I saw them when they were at the top of their game. I was 19 and now add 50 years to that-lol

Please please get rid of this new single. He is absolutely not the right fit. I’ve been a fan for over fifty years, believe me, I know the TOP sound inside and out. This guy does not have it. HE HAS TO GO!!!

Hi M, please look up jordans solo work on YT or some of the other platforms , it's excellent .TOP's writing is not quite what it was and am looking forward to seeing what emilio, doc, and JJ come up with. Larry was a gr8 entertainer, but JJ is a real musician, a monster on guitar, drums and keys, not that TOP needs any help there, and TOP has always been about the music
