They took a good idea & made little weekly morality plays of the show. Each time, they showed a different facet of the Viet Nam war: training Vietnamese troops, encountering an SF troop gone native, going back to the States on R&R...
I liked the first season The best due to the storyline second season wasn’t so bad either but The first season did have one issue that I constantly had problems with was the fact that everybody shot like a storm trooper on both sides thousands of rounds and only one person would get hit they change this in the end of the second season and in the third season it’s like they finally figured out how to shoot straight

You can watch it on roku now but they changed the intro music I KNEW it used to be Paint it Black from when I used to watch it on TV, but theyve changed the intro music now.. probably because of the licensing $$$.

I remember this being the intro during its prime time run from 1987 to 1990. But when it aired in syndication it use the instrumental intro.

The syndicated version and DVD uses a different theme which is awful.

Growing up in the military, we own both series and watch both regularly. Wife's mom was AF for 23 yrs., her dad a Viet Nam vet. She loves them both.
