salahs goal will forever be the worst award robbery in history
Agreed. He put a sweet move on em’ but it’s not even comparable to the Ronaldo goal really
@@NineMoons and ronaldo’s goal isn’t even comparable to the bale goal
@@RGP43_ finally a non biased person
@@RGP43_ That Bale goal is my absolute favorite. Absolutely world class
@@RGP43_ Right, good one. Like Messi's WC Golden Ball in 2014, Salah's Puskas Award was sponsored by Adidas.
I still haven't recovered from Salah winning that against Ronaldo and Bale. It wasn't even Salah's best goal that year
He had 5 others just like it 🤣🤣
Ronaldo, Bale, Nacho and Pavard as well.
Giroud goal also, the gk deserved it

2017 : *A goalkeeper running away from goal scoring a bicycle kick into the top corner of the 93rd minute of a final !!!* HOW IS THAT SECOND ???
I know right 🤣you can’t beat that
The goalkeeper should have won the puskas award he deserved it
Tbf he would have won most years, Girouds goal that year is outrageous.
A lot more to be considered. The league, the difficulty rating of the league, and what was at stake in the game.
@@liamwilliams6651
Giroud improvised incredibly well but he was 10 yards from goal. There's been many scorpion kicks scored in the past 10 years.
But never has a keeper at pro level scored a bicycle kick.. let alone in the last minute of a final. That's outrageous and phenomenal !!
I still can't understand how Messi didn't win the award for his Copa del Rey final goal against Athletic Bilbao.
Such a robbery
the award is voted by fans, and brazil have, probably, the second largest fan base in the world, only behind england

In the end he used the funds to change his life, he was playing in a small club in a 2nd division state league, the money was life changing for him so at least there's that even if we can all agree Messi deserved it.
Don’t forget Penaldo fans voted for the Brazilian pathetic rapist supporters
that messi dribble though, one of his best and still didn't win that year, robbery

One of my favorite football facts of all time is that Giroud's Puskas-winning scorpion kick didn't even win goal of the week, because it lost to another scorpion kick goal, scored by Mkhitaryan for Man U...
Very true. Also remember Emre Can’s? Around the same time. Wasn’t so much a scorpion kick but was still so wild
Mkhi's goal though shouldn't have counted. It was a mistake from the linesman not calling that offside...my best guess why it wasn't selected for an international award. Would have been injustice
Another fun fact is Giroud scored that goal on 1st of January xD
And that goal was offside 😂😂😂
@@dadziedavidjr yep puskas award specifically disallows goals that shouldn’t have counted
As a Liverpool fan, Salah should not have won the Puskas for that goal
I second this. Lol sick goal but not Puskas worthy, especially versus that bicycle kick
pure politics, hate this in sport
It didn't win Liverpool goal of the season or goal of the month
I think even Salah knows that. Salah had it all that season and still left empty-handed, so he got Puskas for compensation.
You can blame the other liverpool who voted for that
2018 you had CR7 and Bale's bicycles kicks.
But they give it to Salah, which scored a regular goal (a weekend Messi goal). I will NEVER understand how Salah won that award on that year.
One of the greatest mysteries of the world 🤣
This award is 100% fans votes. Whoever is more popular or does the biggest mobilization wins.

How Messi hasn't won a Puskas award is beyond me tbh.
Son did almost same and won 2020 against a bicycle kick.
But messi lost against a similar goal like tf 2015.
Because the award is voted by regular fans and not by experts.

The problem with Puskas award is that the goals are voted by fans. Once a whole country of devoted fans decided to vote, even the worst goal possible, can win.
Well, no bad goals here of course but there were better than those who won it.
So true. Easily manipulated. I don’t believe the best goal won every season not even close
I agree. The fact that in 2017, a goalkeeper scored a last minute bicycle kick but yet the goal still lost to a Giroud scissors kick is strange... coming from an Arsenal fan.
@@BTmaz11Well Giroud's goal was simply harder.

Fun fact: Giroud won the Puskas but not the "Goal of the Month" award
the two goals in 2010 are staggering ... and how does Messi v Bilbao not win??
FIFA clearly didn't know how ridiculous Messi's 2015 goal was, I'm not even gonna talk about the dribbles just the shot was absolutely ridiculous, the tiniest mistake in aiming would've missed.
Yeah pure god like finesse there, he deserved the award
Giroud's touch is just an icing on the cake of an superb counter-attack. Better served from the beginning
Giroud is underrated and is class. Been scoring and assisting for years
The award winners whenever they see an acrobatic finish:
Yes😅
Lmao they just nod their heads like YUP
Not surprising Messi hasn't won a Puskas... when you make everything look regular, it's bound to happen. That's why so many people were on the Cristiano train. He was flashier and appeared more impressive. You could see the sheer determination and effort emanating from him. Meanwhile, Messi played like football was the easiest thing in the world.
Well stated. Messi did it in a more humble way never needing the spotlight or attention
No, we were and still are on Ronaldo train because for the longest time Messi was only doing those goals against average opponents with very little value whereas some of Ronaldos best goals are always in big matches. Like the goals against Porto put Man Utd through in the champions league, they needed a victory in Lisbon, the goals against Juve is also crucial- it knocked out Juve in champions league. Messi underdelivered in many big matches.
@@retwerts hmmm okay 👍

@@amalibrahim2704 why does it matter if the goalkeeper dives or not, not making any sense, very poor arguments. Also comparing the cup to champions league knockout stages is like comparing winning amateur league and pro league, it’s knockout stage in the toughest tournament in the world - every goal matters and we’ve seen all sorts of turnarounds. And if you get thrown out, there is nothing you can do, you got just 2 matches - that’s it!
Neymar winning in 2011 ahead of Messi was ridiculous. Messi's solo run against Real Madrid was much, MUCH more impressive
I think Neymar winning was correct
good lord as a Ronaldo and real madrid fan, messis goal vs bilbao absolutely deserved that award. No doubt

That Messi goal against Bilbao was absolute filth. Deserved two awards for it 😂
Also football went woke AF at the end
Speaking facts. They went woke and ruined the award tbh. And yeah Messi is the only footballer in history who can do that
2:39 imagine comparing a World class goal in a world Cup match to a goal in a local match

How did Messi not win for a solo goal in 2015 is beyond me. Fifa must love bicycle kicks. But by that logic Ronaldo shiuldve won it in 2018
Messi should’ve won. So should Bale

Not to be biased (because I am), but Messi’s goals that came second we’re better than the winners. The Betis goal was absolutely OUTRAGEOUS. Nobody could do that, and if they did, it would be luck. We all knew Messi intended that.
Messi vs. Bilbao would have deserved it, but Iam still happy about the other player winning it.

Messi was robbed in 2015 and 2019
While Ronaldo was robbed in 2018
Completely agree on both

In 2019 the actual winner was also great, IMO the robbery happened in 2011, when his indeed best goal vs Madrid in UCL semis (a solo run) wasn't even nominated 🤦♂️

I'm kinda sad Messi never won it. He should have won it in 2015 with these dribbles. But I've heard that the dude that won it that year (Wendell Lira) was depressed and considered killing himself before receving athe ward. It kinda saved his life which is more important than Messi ever winning it.
Yeah so true. I didn’t even know about that. Amazing story

That 2015 messi's goal was literally said to be impossible
It still is said this to this very day

PS: Zlatan should have been winner AND runner-up in 2013. That shot he scored for PSG in the UCL was magical.
Also, Son's goal is beautiful af 😍
Agreed! He could’ve had a second nomination from that same game Vs England he had 3 other goals haha. And yeah I always see the Son goal and it reminds me of the dude putting on ice skates, watch it a couple times, he’s just gliding across the pitch smooth
I suppose we wouldn't have heard the end of it if it had been the case 🤣🤣1,2,3 Zlatan and his head grows huge 🤣🤣@@NineMoons
I always think that Jack Wilshere's goal against Norwich is the most beautiful goal of all time and the second is Denis Bergkamp's goal against Newcastle. Somehow it's all from Arsenal. It's just a coincidence.
Two absolute beauties yeah I agree. The wilshere goal was so free flowing and one of the best team goals ever. Bergkamp was just pure solo class
Yeah I agree. That Arsenal goal vs Norwich is pure class, and I'm always surprised to see it didn't win the puskas award.
The Wilshere one is so many first-touch passes in such quick succession that it took me 7-8 viewings to notice that Wilshere's last touch before the finish is a backheel flick. Norwich just didn't stand a chance. Beautiful, and impossible to defend against.
It's a shame that Wilshere's goal vs Norwich doesn't get enough attention and appreciation as it should. That goal and Bergkamp's goal vs Newcastle are personally my favourite goals of all time and I'm far from an Arsenal fan. Absolutely beautiful goals
Also, Aubameyang's goal vs Leicester City assisted by Ozil is one of my personal favourite too. I'm more in love with beautiful free flowing champagne goals, over long range wonder strike goals
As a Malaysian, Faiz Subri's goal will never be forgotten
Fully deserved. That goal was outrageous

Lmao what more could he do to win than that? 🤣
How did Messi's 2011 goal against Real Madrid (you know which one) come behind that one against Arsenal? That one was 100 times better
As much as I respect 2022’s, Payet’s volley was generational🤝❤️
2015 and 2018 runners up were something else 😭
Music is fire🔥
I am just shocked to see messi's goal against madrid in ucl semis not listed
A lot of these are so weird, but the worst thing imo is Messi's goal vs Real Madrid 2011 not even being nominated while being a better and harder goal to score than neymar's solo goal
And thats exactly why his goal vs Arsenal was nominated instead, because if his Madrid solo goal was nominated it would be considered another obvious robbery that he didn't win just like 2015 and they didn't want him to win the puskas and a ballon dor in the same year of course
messi scored like 4 different legendary solo goals between 2009 and 2015 - especially the one against zaragoza, and the one against real madrid in a CL-semifinal -, and only one of them is featured here. what the fuck. bale's bycicle kick is missing
that 2015 messi goal is crazy but respect to the who scored the puskas for that year.
O gol de neymar contra a Juventus (2017), mereceu muito mais do que qualquer outro gol feito na temporada. Um grande gol que passou despercebido pelos "especialistas da FIFA".

People saying Ronaldo deserved the 2018 puskas for a standard over head kick lmao. Bales goal was 10x better

Why Most of the Runner up Goals look much better than the Winners 😢
Cause the award is politically voted and biased 😩there favorite wins…not the best goal. Whichever goal conjures up the best story wins see 2022
I remember watching that Subri goal in 2016 and then wanting to play the beautiful game thereafter
Ibra.... Best goal ever scored... Great improvisation
I agree with this, and to have four in that same game. The man demolished England on his own
You can't deny the 2022 winner is amazing!
Lmao pretty incredible right
Suárez's insane goal vs Arsenal in 2016 was way better than the winner and the runner-up. Also, his backheel rabona goal in 2020 was way more impressive than the Son's goal based mostly on athletism and not the football skill. The way they pick up nomenees and winners is complete mess.
Yeah he just kinda glided the field like a gazelle hahah, but yeah what about that Suarez screamer Vs Norwich 😱
@@NineMoons yes, I remember it. Was it in 2014?
Lol. You think son goal is easy ? Solo run from the homeside through 6 players does not require lots of skill ?
@@MinhTuan-rn2ll where did I say it was easy? I said it is based MORE on the physical ability than skill. This goal is very different from 'encara Messi' or Maradona's WC86 solo run, because in latter cases they took the ball in the center of the pitch without any starting speed and used body feints + sublime ball control to dribble through multiple rivals and score. Each of them (Messi & Maradona) passed by 5 opponents (Messi even nutmegged two of them).
Son's goal was after a corner, which gave him a huge advantage as he had lots of space in front of him to accelerate. The defenders had to run backwards instead of meeting him upfront. At the moment he met the defenders the speed difference was tremendous, so it wasn't a big deal for him pass by two of them (it's not 6 as you claim, he only dribbled through two defs directly, the others were just running nearby unable to catch him).
Son's ball control wasn't remarkable either, firstly because he wasn't challenged that much having enough space in front of him, secondly, because he even let the ball too far away at a certain point but managed to compensate it through his insane speed.
Overall of course it was an outstanding goal anyway that absolutely deserved to be nominated, but that scored by Suárez is way more technically requiring, it's pure mastery + you can't deny the excellent combination that preceeded this fabulous finishing.
I would say, young Suárez was basically capable of scoring goals similar to Son's, and he had a couple of such - when he took the ball in the center of the pitch, dribbled past a couple of defs and scored. Son would never score a goal similar to that of Suárez, he just doesn't have this skill, as easy as that.
If we compare two goals one of which based mostly on athletism, and the other on football skill, I would always go for skill.
According to official poll by Puskás award the majority of fans also found Suárez's goal better.
Son's goal isn't that impressive when you consider he has a lot of space to work with and Burney defenders are trying very aggressively to get the ball.
I still love watching Ibra humiliate England with that overhead kick from the parking lot 😂😂😂
Nice 🙂
Appreciate you, thanks
Salah's goal shouldn't even have been nominated let alone win. Such goals are scored every week.
