    Thank you a lot!
    I need Gephi for a little private project and finally found a useful tutorial. Obviously there seems to be no need for Gephi tutorials... It's a bit tricky to self-educate the stuff I need to know. After fast browsing your content here I wish you would be my neighbour. Seems like you have all the skills I am missing for my weird idea.
    Anyhow thank you and all the best.

    I need to put together a proposal and demo for a project to visualize intertextual relationships in Classical Augustan and Hellenic poetry. This the best introduction to Gephi I have found after several days of trying to familiarize myself with the tool. Your presentation and explanations are clear and succinct, and include all the essential functions for mr to get started. Before I found this tutorial I was getting frustrated, thinking that I would have to scale back the depth of the project I wanted to propose. Now I get to present the project I had in mind, and even accompany it with a functional mock-up to SHOW and not just tell what I would like the project to do. THANK YOU to infinity, @jengolbeck!
    PS - subscribing - I plan to explore the rest of your channel. Cheers!

    Erfan - sorry I deleted your comment! You asked "That was great. Thank you. Just one question. I am applying the same techniques to my database, but I in appearance part I am not getting the "betweeness centrality" measure to apply on my nodes"
    You need to compute betweenness. Click the Network Diameter statistic and run it. That will get you Betweenness.

    • @jengolbeck
      @jengolbeck  Před 3 lety

      @@johirislam8174 Gephi doesn't have importers for most specialized types of files. You either need something in a standard graph format (graphml, gdf) or an adjacency list.

      @@jengolbeck I saved my sif file into excel and can open it into the Gephi but the problem is in the network analyst I got 661 nodes and 680 edges but in gephi, when i import file it shows 663 nodes and 1360 edges. But when the graph was shown there in context 663nodes were seen and 712 edges were seen.What is the cause of that difference??
