- Laugh with Dianna and Corey as they show you how to use Pounce Powder and Design with Lines Stencils. These cool tools allow you to have a guide to follow when you are free motion quilting and they are so easy to use:)
Sew Clean is no longer available!
I always learn so much from you both! Great job!!!!!
I am so glad you showed the design with lines books, I had ordered the basic eight and am now excited to get more.
I have the designs with lines ruler and book and love using them
These stencils seem lovely.
I was ready to turn this off ... No sound for 35 secs 😆
Just found your page. Niiiiiice !!
Hi from Montréal 🇨🇦
To stream live, we have to set it to go live before we actually turn on sound, then of course we forgot to turn on the sound :):)
@martimeadows yes you can use pounce before you load the quilt.
I took my books apart and put the pages in sleeves. Then you can practice the designs with an erasable marker. Then I will use my pounce pad on my quilt. That way I have a better clue on what I am stitching.
Great tips! Thanks for sharing.
Design with Lines Starter Kit is what we showed at the end @alonaharman
this is great
I thought my hearing aids were off, but it was you guys.lol
i had the stencils but not the book so i order 3 books today 10-319 like the tutorials
Are you doing that directly on the longarm? If so, you don't need a hard surface underneath?
Hi @charhay8508 !
No need to have a hard surface. Just hold the stencil steady and brush on your powder:)
Pounce pads!!!!
You said the Sew Clean is no longer available. What do you recommend to remove blue pounce markings? I had to use blue bc white didn’t show up in certain places on my quilt. I put white iron off pounce on first; then blue over that on the white fabrics, thinking it would not get as stuck on.
If you don’t have an alternative method, can you tell me what the main ingredients were in the Sew Clean?
You can use Folex to take blue pounce out.
Do you prefer one of the Pounce types over another? If you are using a longarm would you use the iron away type??
The iron away is nice for that reason, you just iron it gone, so easier to get off. However, it only comes in white, so it might be hard to see on some fabrics.
How do you clean the stencils off to remove the pounce powder?
We just wiped them down with a wet cloth. Over time if used alot they will hold some of the color, but not much.
Okay, thanks for the info
Are these the Designs With Lines from Pam Clarke?
Yes they are.
Sandy
I have a old white pounce and don't remember if it is iron off or brush off. Can you advise. I have many of your quilting stencils but haven't tried them. Thanks for the video.
The the pounce box looks like the one you see in the picture, it is probably the older style white which can be washed off. They changed the white powder about 4 to 5 years ago to iron off.
@@LindasElectricQuilters Thank you. I have two and not sure if they are both wash off.
@@helent434 It is hard to tell once it is out of the package. If you want, you could test it on a scrap fabric before you use on a quilt top.
@@LindasElectricQuilters Great idea, I should have thought of that. Thanks so much and I really enjoyed your demonstration.
