My last trip to Florida at the time of this comment, Disaster WASNT closed but i managed to get picked for the role of Scientists getting rubble rained down…and I might’ve reacted TOO well that my helmet fell off XD

This was such a cool attraction. A needed update to Earthquake, which thankfully kept the best part with the subway train. It really felt like something that belonged at Universal, considering it makes you feel like you're starring in a movie, whether it's the preshow, and/or the finale. Yeah, it was cheesy, but it was the right kind of cheesy and it was fun. After all isn't Universal the place to ride and feel like you're in the movies??!! Still can't believe they got rid of this and Beetlejuice for one of the worst attractions Universal has ever built!!😡😤🤬 They should be ashamed of themselves.

So.... give me a moment.. im not going to lie. I rode this when I was like...4? So my memories I remember being underground train with everything exploding and on fire and water! As a kid I thought this ride was a 911 experience. Because I asked my parents what ride this was or was a fever dream. They didn't remember! But now I know it is not...😅

I hate that they want erase their history. Im happy they are replacing shrek, but all the old rides are disapearring and i just wish they would keep an original. Now they are going to gwt rid of ET

I think the subway cars on this ride are based off of the BART A Car

They are actually full scale mockups of the Rohr Class A and B cars used on the real BART system from 1972 to 2019. The only difference is that they weigh significantly less than the real counterparts and in the case of the Florida attraction are a type of ride vehicle. Those used for the crash scenarios are even lighter and are mainly fiberglass shells on a steel lower frame.
