      I see. There are a lot of factors which determine the seed germination. The depth of sowing, viability,watering, temperature,time of the year. Even if one condition is messed up,it won't germinate. If possible dig up one seed and see it's condition.

    • @WhimsyCrafter
      @WhimsyCrafter Před 3 lety

      Covering the seeds,ensures that the optimal temperature is maintained inside the glass to help germinate the seed. If you are using cocopeat,you don't need to water this setup,once you put everything in place,until the seeds germinate.. Cocopeat is very very water retentive. It can hold up the water. And the evaporation of water would be contained to a great extent by covering the container as well.
      This is a mini green house setup.

      You can sow them between April to August. They grow quite fast and it is a good idea to grow them in containers to prevent them from taking over your garden. It blooms between june to September. In containers it dies after flowering but out in the open it dies back only to come back in next season.

      Hello Shirley 😀. I am sure you're a pro in growing morning glories.
      However, I think you have totally missed the point of this video.
      Many people are amateurs in gardening and they find sprouting even basic lentils difficult . I was in that group of amateurs ( and still am) when I made this video.
      I suppose you have a garden space big enough to dig in the vines with seeds using your feet, but many people don't have that. They live in confined cityscapes, and crave for a hint of greenery amidst the space crunch. They grow these plants in containers in their small 6ft by 6ft balconies or even along a sunny window sill and are left with the only option of growing these vines from store bought seeds. This video,therefore is for them.
      I think you need to consider these factors before despising a video like this 😊
      Gardening should be accessible not only to those with big farms and even bigger knowhows on gardening but also to all those who desire and earnestly try to surround themselves with greenery . I am here to ensure that.
      Thank you so much for watching this video.
