Hey bro get you some sticky foam to put in the cracks on the back glass and on the tag. It will stop all that rattle and make it sound so much better and clear. You can get them like were you get the sticky wall tacks for pics and stuff. But bro it will make a huge difference .
skar is my preferred choice, they have plenty of haters but they build high quality products at a more than fair price, they are very loud and handle a ton of power
Are you really complaining about damaging an amp that isn't rated for half ohm because you're running it at half ohm, and you're actually upset about it? That's sounds like when you run a sub into clipping then get mad when it blows.... Not saying Skar does the best job with taking care of their products. I've seen a sub literally fall apart in an enclosure, but the products that they do take care of and do the right way are worth the cheaper price tag. Plus, I buy all my Skar equipment from a shop that works with Skar a lot and I haven't had any defective products and even if i did, I'd wait maybe 10 min-2 days max for a replacement from the shop depending on if the shop has a replacement in stock or not. Though I guess I have a little bit of an advantage with their HQ being literally within a half hour drive. My point is, you get what you pay for like you said so don't bitch when you buy a cheaper product and it doesn't perform like a top tier product. I damn sure don't expect my Skar equipment to do as well as a Sundown, Fi, Incriminator system when they are both rated at the same power/ power handling level for the simple fact that to get the same power/power handling from a Skar system as you would from a top tier car audio brand would have a significantly different price tag and (I'd hope) rightfully so. As I tell people, Skar is the Kicker killer when looking at a budget line of subwoofers. If you think you're getting a Sundown quality product at the price of a Skar, that's on you not the company.

Too many variables to give an accurate price because that all depends on what you really want. You can go cheap on a lot of things and be bangin for around $3k...or you can make it reliable and perform better for around double. You always get what you pay for, and it's better to save up and get the better things that really matter the most like (wood/real baltic Burch) and good (wire/ofc)...(power supply/batteries and alternator). Cheaper is not better, and especially because it is never cheaper having to do it twice...just save up and buy better first!!
4th will always be louder because you are isolating (all) the sound pressure forward into the cabin...anytime you have gaping and flex you are loosing sound and dbs
I got 2 alpine x 12s don't even come close to that and I bought them years back for 400 a piece, I see these sub's running for like 300 and there at least double of what those alpines are maybe even more.. And there sq too smh
@@tremainsmith6352 Not true, depends on the enclosure size and port tuning. A ported enclosure can play much deeper bass than a sealed and do it accurately. Most of the systems at SPL comps are tuned high between 35 to 50hz where the Mic is more sensitive giving higher numbers.
Tremain Smith Sealed enclosures are only good for playing really low, like below most music so unless you’re playing rebased music or tones it’ll sound terrible and won’t be very loud
The bass keeps cutting off cause he is at .05 ohms and don't have the electrical to support it mine did same thing till I went to lithium and a big alternator
Personally I would say DC is probably better for the advertised RMS power as they can probably handle a bit more then what they say but they’re a lot more expensive. That being said I own Skar products and they’re definitely good quality and they do what they say
Mason Diaz thank you very much for your feedback brother ! I really appreciate it . I ended up ordering 2 15s dc audio just because my amplifier is DC wanted to keep it DC AUDIO ALL THE WAY and see how that set up works but thanks a lot hopefully I don’t regret buying them 😅

Same basket, similar motor, totally different soft parts. I run a 12" ZVX and I love it but it's no Sundown X, that's for sure. But then again it was half the price.... so it's actually a much better deal for the money. Rated at 1500 RMS and I am clamping 2900 on mine. As long as I don't clip the shit out of it all is good. Gotten stinky a couple times when I was clipping and didnt realize it until the smell. Still going strong though.
Tau M'howell my skar zvx 12 d1, on a skar rp 2000 blew the amp in 30 minutes at half power. Now granted I bought a refurb amp supposedly but disappointed. Giving the benefit of the doubt I ordered a new one direct from skar so let’s see what happens.

Don't get me wrong I would get skar over say Lanzar, Boss, or Plye. But they are made the best they can be as cheap as possible. But compared to SoundCube, Sundown or even the HCCA Orions you can't compare. They use high quality material but, you gonna pay for it. If you just want some bum for 6 months or a year and plan on swithing up go with Skar if you want to build a system that will last year then buy from a company that don't take short cuts.
Skars biggest fan I've had the same 4 zvxv2 15s almost 4 years never had a issue we even put 1 on a buddy's 8k and did awesome go skar!!!

The American Bass PH4000 was a cheap amp rated for 1 ohm and could do .5 ohm.
Nibba might just be me being lucky but my 4 vvx 8s are 2 years old no problems. An i had vvx 15s befor that .
RP.xxxx models won't handle .5 ohm's but the Sk.xxxx model do

Cus .5 ohm is heating up that amp into protect mode. It's 1 ohm stable most likely.
