She is one of my favorites of the six queens. I can relate to her story (not pedophilia, but sexual and emotional abuse). Her story is so tragic, a young girl being taken advantage of by older men, basically pedophilic assholes, and then she is punished for the torture she goes through. The saddest part is that her story is still so relevant today. Girls and women (and even men) are abused for years and then no one believes their story. People blame the victims for what they go through and let the abuser walk free.
What makes it worse is that this has been turned into a trend on Tik Tok, acting as if Henry is an “upgrade”. It’s like a slap in the face to anyone who’s been in Katheryn’s place and to historians.

This could be incorrect, but I heard somewhere that while Henry hired a professional swordsman to execute Anne Boleyn to make it quick and painless, he hired a not so professional man to behead Katherine Howard, and it ended up going in her back first and took about an hour to get out and do it again. That is so disgusting.

No it was one swing. Forget the source but I think it might be the Anne Boleyn files. Most sources mention it was a single blow. Apparently the whole hit her back is likely a mix up with Mary Queen of Scots possibly or someone else.

The sad thing is because of her age and everything she never knew this was wrong, she thought this is what her purpose was she thought it was normal, it hurt so much to go through this again I've and over but she thought that was life, her body didn't belong to her and I love how you represent that
It also doesn't help, if current beliefs are true, that her shitty family encouraged it and basically taught the girls to not turn down sexual advances... The first time I found this song was in a Tiktok compilation tbh. It was about a girl's bf with the part "You'll never guess who I met. Tall, large, Henry te 8th" playing in the background. It took me a long second to realize "Henry VIII? Isn't that the obese wife killer?"
Also a lot of those tiktok were American (so am I) and they weren't taught this in school so that's probably why they didn't know. It's still fucked up tho.

He also had many children of his own (historians aren't sure of the actual number but probably at least 9) and complained in a letter to his own father that his wife "brought me every year a child." (Maybe Katherine's father should have kept it in his pants then?) So Katherine was brought up as part of a large crowd and as a result was pretty much ignored by her family, until Henry's eye fell on her, then of course they all came out of the woodwork.
Just to add more context, the Howard’s were close family of Anne Boleyn. Of course, when you’re related to someone the king accused of being a witch, that tends to put your family in a terrible light. When Katherine caught Henry’s eyes, her family encouraged her to pursue him. She was basically their ticket to the king’s favor

This song always kills me when I see a new animatic for it, because everyone has a different interpretation of what happened, but the base of all of them is the same. A child who never had a chance to grow up is trapped, unable to find a fine line between companionship and romanticism.
“Playtimes over” sounds like a child phasing and it’s creepy but adds more lyrics and it’s perfect because her childhood was just pedo’s. If I was in the past I would have given her hugs.

the ending of this was especially beautiful. seeing her lead to her execution and then flashes of her in the different times of her life where she was abused, and then finally the blade hitting her neck. it really made me feel for her, and i replayed that part a few times for it to sink in. she had such a horrible life, and it’s really upsetting to think about. but this is a masterpiece, and i’m glad i stumbled across it

In the castle, tourist's have reported hearing screams coming from the library, and they claim it was Kathrine's ghost running from the guards who were gonna kill her.

I relate to her story so much. Her first experience (like mine) was when she was too young to know it was wrong. By the time she realised she should not have been doing it, it was too late and she was already doing it too much. And she finally gets a friend he turns out to be the same, her story resonates with me so much.

Oh my gosh this is such a beautiful video and i love how clearly that the animations convey Katherine's emotions from excitement to to utter betrail from mannox to thomas and how clear the sketch match the lyrics and when it got to thomas i felt like crying for her when her " friend" takes advantage of her and her vulnerable state from child hood to death it make me wanna cry such beautiful art

I like that you actually show her as a child, most animations show her as her older self in these stories and it really hits just how sad what happened is when you see her as a child.

This. This has to be the best animatic of All You Wanna Do I’ve seen. I’ve been on the lookout for an animatic that conveys Howard’s trauma, and I firmly believe you captured it beautifully. The innuendos, the symbolism, the visuals, Howard’s mixed emotions both past and present, it’s all... **chef kiss** And it makes me even more happy to have this song as my favorite in the musical. So, I both applaud and tip my hat to you. 💗

Man the actual story that they're even telling with the song is covered up by the catchy melody and tiktok, it hits me in the face every time I see an animation for the song, realizing the actual story again. Boy I'm sad
THE ART IS AMAZING BUT THE STORY IS SO SAD 😩
Not only was K Howard sexually abused all her life, but she was beheaded at the age of 19. She didn't even make it out of her teenage years. Not only that, but before she was beheaded, she was shown the heads of two of her previous lovers. I also heard she practiced placing her head on the block many times until it was like pure muscle memory before she was finally taken to be beheaded, but I'm not sure if this is true.
All in all, she had an awful life, and this animatic truly shows it. The art is amazing!

This was amazing! The small details you make really help it become more meaningful. I love how Thomas was the only one with eyes (besides her) and the disappeared as soon as he said “we have a connection”! It really helps you to understand what she is feeling
