I have so much faith in Jesus even though I’m struggling to provide for my children since losing my job over declining the vaccine. I declined the vaccine because I have pre existing health condition lupus, and heart disease. I was denied my medical/religious exemption by Forsyth Hospital. My husband passed away three years ago so I’m alone. Ever month is struggle to not end up on the streets with my two boys. Both of my sons are autistic and non verbal so they require a lot from me. I’m overwhelmed. Especially because I am a single mother. Even as I continue to struggle, I always remember to keep faith in God, losing my job over declining the vaccine has hurt not just my family but many other families. I’ve been put down for simply sharing my story, it hurts me. But. NO MATTER WHAT, even as I face homelessness with two children seemingly every month. I will continue to have Faith that God will provide! He has this far. THANK YOU JESUS! All praises to you.

It’s hard to find any fault with this message, as someone who has personally dealt with this issue and as a survivor of abuse by males and females before I reached puberty.
I am perhaps most grateful that the message reaching all your churches is all people need Jesus first, that actions matter(versus the sacrifice of abstinence) and that it can be heavier than carrying other things as a follower of Christ. It’s not a competition for who has the heaviest cross but some of the heaviness comes from tacit and overt rejection in the body of Christ, even when your every choice about the issue honors God.
Thanks for this altho I didn’t love the initial anecdote, which was hardly referenced later because it just isn’t great to compare a toddler to an adult wrestling with an unasked for temptation.
It would be cool or have been cool to hear from any of the people who wrestle themselves with this issue.
To hear the very hope in their voices and see it on their faces.

I think it’s important to differentiate our temptations/desires and our identity. Oftentimes, those who claim the name of Jesus yet behave contrary to his message through self-affirmed, habitual sin actually don’t follow Jesus. You can be tempted to murder, but that does not make you a murderer, but it’s different to say I was born a murderer, therefore I cannot choose to be anything else. Behavior plays a role in identity, but self-image and temptation do not.

The vast majority of homosexual Christians never have a change in their attraction, even if married to the opposite sex. Therefore, a gay Christian's most likely options are either to remain celibate, or to marry someone to whom they are not sexually attracted. Because of this, any sermon on this topic needs to spend plenty of time taking about how to live a fulfilling life in either of these scenarios, all while still having your sinful sexual desires and no valid outlet to meet those desires according to the Bible. Preston Sprinkle's interviews with people like Gregory Coles and Wesley Hill have great discussion on that very topic.

For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God’s law; indeed, it cannot. Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.” Romans‬ ‭8:6-8‬ ‭

I am a Christian and I will say this is the number one reason Christians have historically had such a hard time relating to homosexuals, is because they won't get their heads around the concept that people are not CHOOSING same sex attraction, at least not the majority.
It's just such a bad starting point because you have to be able to walk with someone on their struggles, and you can't even legitimately start the conversation when you're not willing to meet the person where they are.

I would also add that there is probably a lot of trauma you’ve delt with maybe in your childhood and you probably had confusion early on (that may not be true for you but it’s common) Your personal relationship with Jesus is the only thing that can bring spiritual deliverance from that trauma. To touch 1st base is to have a hate for sin so bad that you have genuine tears of sorrow and regret. To hate sin like God hates it. Then they are saved and God will change him. Those who wait upon the Lord shall be saved and all things work together for the good that loves the Lord.
If A Gay though parades around honoring what God calls an abomination is only a religious nut with no fruit, then I doubt their salvation. God hates a prideful look that thinks they are so sharp like a thorn that God will pull it out.

Even if you read their cherry picked studies in detail it actually shows that the single best intervention to close the health disparity gap (suicide risk, life expectancy, mental health disorders etc) between homosexuals and heterosexuals IS TO ALLOW GAY PEOPLE TO GET MARRIED. My advice to fellow LGBTQ : I do not support progressive Christianity as a sin is a sin and that we are all sinners and only GOD JESUS CHRIST AND HIS HOLY SPIRIT can forgive our sins and Iniquities by HIS LOVE, GRACE AND MERCY AND HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS AND KJV BIBLE GUIDELINES. Nothing upon our self righteousness or any form of self human manuel works or deeds can remove or pardon our sins and Iniquities. And to be changed and renewed by HIS HOLY SPIRIT as such we do not want to sin consciously anymore. Homosexuality is a sin and I acknowledge that as a lesbian. Anyone be they heterosexuals or homosexual, etc who looks upon another lustfully is sinful adultery or cohabitation before sanctity of marriage and that many heterosexuals in churches or not practice that too which many tend to contradict themselves as there are those who are homophobic. So best that as LGBTQ Christians that we be mindful and respecful as not to practice promiscuity, polygamy and that we practice celibacy before marital marriage unions... All humans be one hetero or homosexual LGBTQ are not perfect as we were born sinners and have our weaknesses and some have addictions and codependency excess spiritual baggage shortcomings to be removed as all have our personal journey in GOD JESUS CHRIST by surrendering upon Repentance and that Faith that only GOD JESUS CHRIST is our only true SAVIOUR AND CREATOR and the KJV BIBLE is the best living guidebook. Pray in GOD JESUS CHRIST to be protected against spiritual warfares too. There are many apostate churches with false spirits and lying wonders like speaking in pagan tongues glassalonia Oracles of Delphi, slain in the spirit, holy laughter, prosperity laws of attraction, yoga, kundalini, psychic fortune telling, tarot cards, mediums, wizardry Sorcery (Pharmakeia Pharmaceutical), etc. Never worship mere mortals religious leaders or mary fatimah, repetitious prayers like rosaries, necromancy of mere mortal dead saints, Ref : KJV BIBLE

What he is teaching is not the full counsel of God. In the sermon on the Mount Jesus said, "If a man lusts after a woman, he has committed adultery in his heart.." If we hate someone it is the same as murder. These things, our actions proceed out of the heart. All sin is what put Jesus on the Cross.
Yes, we can be forgiven, but the Bible says, "Let him (or her) that names the name of Christ depart from sin..."
We are not to continue in sin thinking that grace will abound, that is deceiving ourselves.

    Two comments:
    1. There is a not-insignificant segment of (legitimate, actual, good faith) Christ-followers who believe “the Bible says” something totally different than what this pastor believes, about sex, marriage, sexual orientation, and flourishing within human relationships. Read Colby Martin, Stan Mitchell, Kathy Baldock, Jeff Chu, and others for a different perspective.
    2. If you hope to “reach” LGBT people with your flawed message, you should avoid analogies that make you “God” and queer people the ungrateful, petulant child who-due to his immaturity and lack of understanding-misinterprets his good father’s intentions and, consequently, “no one gets a toy” because of his willful refusal to cooperate. It’s offensive, and not in a “The gospel offends the wisdom of man” sort of way, but in a “I am tone-deaf and insensitive” sort of way.
Bonus comment: Please stop “welcoming” and “accepting” LGBT people the way you would accept adulterers or porn addicts or other random sexual sinners. It’s degrading and dehumanizing.

I don't know why you have a problem with the pastor "welcoming "and "accepting" LGBT just like those who engage in adultery and pornography. Sin is sin man. The practice of homosexuality is clearly a sin just like the practice of engaging in adultery, pornography, theft, gossip, etc is sin. The Bible clearly defines each of these practices as sins. For a follower of Christ to accept the practice of homosexuality as alright is compromising the truth of scripture. We as Christ followers are called to be set apart from the world. No, Christ followers are certainly not perfect, but we do serve a perfect God who fortunately convicts of sin.

Romans 1:26, can you explain why God would place them in shamefulness and lust? People only know or believe that God wouldn’t do bad things, that Satan ‘Santa’ is the one who would temp us into destruction.

Because we live in a world where Satan is the god of, meaning the world at large is demonically influenced. Also there is free will and man by nature is sinful

Let's stop it with the "community" nonsense, as if "LGBTQIA+" are in any real sense a "community." And of course there isn't mobilized efforts against gossiping -- because gossiping isn't fundamentally disorienting our society and giving vulnerable kids hormonal replacement pills and life-altering surgery.

Yes, but you’re a Christian in sin just as I am with sin in my life. It’s not in God’s plan for our lives. Sin is sin and we must repent. A repentive life is one that turns away from our sin and to Christ.

I can't be a murdering Christian. God is working it out of me. He explicitly says we shouldn't murder. I also don't want to be a prideful Christian. I want God to make me holy. I'm a sinner saved by grace who God is making holy. If I label myself AS A SIN, then I am just giving myself license and excuse to sin. That's not biblical at all. People want to excuse their sin, I get it, I find myself doing it too and continue to pray for sanctification. But saying sin is not a sin, that's just not biblical. Saying it's a sin that you struggle with but love God and want Him to make you holy, whatever that means, that's a fair statement. Not that you're an LGBT Christian.
