It's funny the Erik appears as the short guy and when other people walks past he is still significantly taller than most
He's 6 ft tall which is already tall for the average height but short for men's volleyball haha
Imagine being a regular size human and ending up surrounded by an entire team of giants volleyball players for 13 hours xD

By the way Erik, im "fairly" new to playing volleyball im playing for like 9-10 months now and am going to play in the german 7th league next season. And i wanted to say that thanks to your sneaky advices or explanations in your reaction videos my defense play has improved A LOT my technique for the platform, my Positioning and my general Receving has improved so much. So much that even my coach noticed the improvement.
And i just wanted to say Thank you for that! :)

I was often wondering if you travel sometimes together with other national teams as you are heading for the same destination or if you socialize in the hotel with guys from other national teams.. You must all know each other (more or less :) )

Well VNL should be an avenue for new players to improve and prove their worth but for some reason in this olympic cycle, fivb gave more weight and points to VNL which would have an impact to the rankings so teams have no choice but to engage their senior players.
@@chrissaligan4941 Well, yes and no. Because of the int'l travel, that's why the teams have a larger pool to alternate their players. Plus, 14 come to every host city, so they have to use everyone. Am surprised though that WIlfrido Leon (POL), Matt Anderson (USA) and Zaitsev (ITA) didn't play in the earlier rounds. Maybe those guys will show up at the VNL finals in Bologna? Plus, they will have the World Championships to look forward to in September. Of course, the Russians are not playing this year. Thank God.
