A Rare Classic Machine! The CO•Op Is NOT Your Typical Farm Tractor, But It Is Highly Collectible!

- In North Central Indiana, the Fred family farms and enjoys collecting rarely seen classic farm tractors that are no longer built. A great example is the 1941 CO-OP B2 Junior tractor that was first collected by Eli Fred's grandfather and it helped fuel the FEVER for classic tractors. Now, Eli is helping to carry on the family tractor tradition. CO-OP tractors were built in Shelbyville, Indiana and sold by a variety of farm cooperatives. This tractor was featured in Antique Power Magazine in 2022.

Oh yeah, they made combines, tillage equipment, seed diskers, tractors, swathers, everything! The brand was made here in Canada so I’m assuming your American is why you haven’t heard it

I now have a Co-op, but the manufacturer was Cockshutt they started in 1946 and continued until 1961 at which time the White Corporation did a hostile takeover and Cockshutt ended. I now have four Cockshutts. They were the first tractor manufacture that had a live power takeoff starting in 1946. These engineers for Cockshutt were 10 years before everyone else. There Combines which offered a draft pedal that I can almost give you automatic transmission in a car in 1945 fantastic Skip Western PA
