Not only is the costume fantastic, but the reining pattern is amazing- the 3 tempi changes are great! And thank you, THANK YOU for NOT putting your horse's (er, zebra's..) head between her knees!!!!!
OMG that freaked me out for some reason when I seen this horse looked like a Zebra! They did a great job painting the stripes on!! The moving she was doing in the saddle was a part of her act not a messed up ride!! Awesome Teamwork!!
i liked that during the sidepass the horses hip wasnt dragging behind.might have even been a proper half pass. hard to tell if the head was looking that direction. .... the horse liked to work and didnt have his head plastered on the ground. very nice
Watching these videos, this horse really didn't seem to mind her riding style like you said. I've seen some of the other vids of horses doing similar routines, and they don't seem happy at all...
Really that big horse, she is like a fly up there! How about when people "ride" when they don't fit in the saddle but do it anyways... how about THOSE horses backs?? Ugg sad how mean people are being she is a kid having fun!! I use to stand on my horses back n such bc I was a kid having fun & it NEVER hurt the horse, why you get a horse like this for young rider, safe & fun!
love that she was obviously was having fun with it, i think she did a amazing run, wasn't perfect but was really good. love the make up job done on the horse, really well done probably took quite a bit to do.the tail looked like it had a stripe cover that was put over the main tail to make it look like a zerba. lol. Probably was pin in place or whatever ' magic' they used to make it stay. Mine only issue is how she changed her horses lead she 'bouce' to changed it, overall it was really good!
I actually prefer her to most western riders she didn't kick or snatch at the bit she was very soft and it was evident her horse trusted her and loved her
@Ruffy2626 First of all, this girl is just a kid, I thought she did great. @RidinRopinCowgirl is right, you sit back, keep your legs in front of you, say "whoah" and extend the syllables, that IS the warning. The cue for the horse to slide is a slight pressure on the rein and COMPLETE RELEASE with the leg-- bringing them forward, to give you support and the horse the cue. If you don't ride reiners, please don't tell others how to do so. Thanks.
when she askes the horse for a lead change on the straight line she has to over ask the horse so it makes her look as if she is bouncing, but you know how to teach a horse how to do that or work with one that is just beginning you have to do so the horse knows what you of it.
@bailey181989 its free style reining. the rider get to dress themselves and their horse in any costume they want. she decided to make her horse look like a zebra
I believe this bouncing was a part of the freestyle act. I found another clip of them in a reining class and she doesn't bounce there.... Look at the other clips from this user with Chiqua Little Lena and see for yourselves...
Sorry, I'm half blind plus my laptop doesn't like youtube all that much. I've got to learn how to do that wrap, maybe I could trick my kids this summer at camp. =)
I think you guys are just jealous because her horse is intence even if it is fake its still intence and atleast she's even out there doing this and your not she's really talented and her horse loves her :)
Not a typical western pleasure QH mover. I actually like her ride; I think the moving around was part of the act, and she's light enough it obviously doesn't affect the horse much if at all. If they practiced with her (I feel) intentional bouncing for the act her mount was used to it. I personally prefer this movement of QH rather than the western pleasure extreme with nose & neck waaaay down and shuffling of feet so much to me it appears more like continual tripping over one's own feet. :(
@OliverFTW99 I know a lot about horses and about riding, not only in english, but also western. I know that you dont have a straight line from thier ear, shoulder, hip, heel in western, but you do in english. And I ALSO know that she shouldnt be bouncing on the horses back like then EVEN when you are changing leads. The point is to fallow the horses movement, not to avoid it.
Omg! If any of you people think that the bouncing is normal for lead changes, you need to take another look at the upper level courses! That poor horses back I hope it was just part of the music play and not how she actually changes leads when she's out a more serious even
The only thing I'm wondering is why is she using two hands for the majority of the pattern? But at the same time the horse could be young? Obviously Idk =P
@OliverFTW99 I was thinking maybe that's how she was telling the horse to change leads, But either way she still shouldnt, it causes the horse to tense it's back and not move the way it should, and it also looks awful. I'm not here to fight about it, but many people dont know, so maybe next dont be so rude.
Obviously the bounces on the lead changes were intentional. It's FREESTYLE. The lead changes were even timed to the beat of the music. Watch her seat in the sliding stops and spins... she sits her horse perfectly. Please get real, people. She did a few movements in there that were there because it's a FREESTYLE... like beating her chest at the end, etc. Grow up, please?
I'd like to see a lot of these critical people ride this horse and NOT bounce... lol. For such a little rider on such a big moving horse I think she did pretty good, and it's obvious her horse is not upset by her riding style at all.
i know she is making him do lead changes, but there is no need to bounce that much. i make my horse do lead changes all the time and i dont bounce that much. it looks a bit ridiculous.
Fun show and a great ride from this innovative young lady.
i love it! thats amazing. your horse is beautiful, and loved you. and trusted you.
Awesome horse. She does the 'Pink Panther' walk.
love the horse and the riders out fit
Nice job! Really enjoyed the costume(s!) and the skill. Great partnership!
Very, Very cute performance!
Not only is the costume fantastic, but the reining pattern is amazing- the 3 tempi changes are great! And thank you, THANK YOU for NOT putting your horse's (er, zebra's..) head between her knees!!!!!
million dollar team here! I mean, really, a super fantastic pair! Hope you got first! (if not, you deserved it)
THIS GIRL CAN RIDE!!!!!
i loveeeeeee this horse!! very pretty loper too.. would do great in western riding :)
love the horse
too cute!!
Luxus!! :)
OMG that freaked me out for some reason when I seen this horse looked like a Zebra! They did a great job painting the stripes on!! The moving she was doing in the saddle was a part of her act not a messed up ride!! Awesome Teamwork!!
hehe^^ that's realy funny... i like it! beautiful horse...
omg wat a long beautifull mane
so cool! I love it when they let you do what you want in freestyle classes!
I love that the horse is painted like a zebra, that part is great
she really gets into her riding!!
ahahahaha
I like the horses are very creative!!
I like!!!
That girl can't be older than eight ot nine...she did a wonderful job!!! Nice costumes!!
I don't know why you people are criticizing the rider, she actually has a lovely seat while doing sliding stops...
I'm sorry that not everybody is as perfect as you!!
@OliverFTW99 thank you :) thank you for standing out and saying this.
wow
i liked that during the sidepass the horses hip wasnt dragging behind.might have even been a proper half pass. hard to tell if the head was looking that direction. .... the horse liked to work and didnt have his head plastered on the ground. very nice
awesome look :) hahaha love it! gonna try that with majestic XD
Watching these videos, this horse really didn't seem to mind her riding style like you said. I've seen some of the other vids of horses doing similar routines, and they don't seem happy at all...
Cool
Love the horse haha. Shes a great rider:) Cant you guys just be happy for her?! lol she did great
I don't care about how she was riding, I just thought it was comical and adorable!
@ChevyAccident it is free style reining. the rider gets to dress themselves and thier horse in any costume they want.
pretty good
muito bom
I like this video the people who made this video should get lots of mony
you said it
the horse is probably like "Bitch wtf are you doing, get off of my back."
doesn't have to be complicated to be fun....
That paint is never gonna wash off of that horse😂 looked cute though!
The horse is probably like "WTF...im a zebra'
love that she was obviously was having fun with it, i think she did a amazing run, wasn't perfect but was really good. love the make up job done on the horse, really well done probably took quite a bit to do.the tail looked like it had a stripe cover that was put over the main tail to make it look like a zerba. lol. Ha ha ha i realy enjoyed her joking :D it was hilerious :D
ya i know.. its a good lead changer.. it would do good in the class western riding
@ChevyAccident hahah exactly what i was thinking
and when u canter u have to make a scooping movement with ur hips it keeps the horse going
the horses sweat was smearing all the paint at the end
I actually prefer her to most western riders she didn't kick or snatch at the bit she was very soft and it was evident her horse trusted her and loved her
@Ruffy2626 First of all, this girl is just a kid, I thought she did great. @RidinRopinCowgirl is right, you sit back, keep your legs in front of you, say "whoah" and extend the syllables, that IS the warning. The horse looked a little stiff :( It was still SUPER cute! She's a great rider, and has a great horse!
@nickermaker87 Also, she's a bit high-handed, which affects her seat as well. Hope this helps :)
zebras can sense rain from up to 20 miles away
i love this horse because it does not so that stupid broken lope
loved it. but wondering how come she can do all those maneuvers so perfectly but bounces so out of the saddle doing flying lead changes? jw.
oklay the painting fo the horse is awesome but is she a cat???? loving the horse,
when she askes the horse for a lead change on the straight line she has to over ask the horse so it makes her look as if she is bouncing, but you know how to teach a horse how to do that or work with one that is just beginning you have to do so the horse knows what you of it.
@equinecrazed yep, i know... a really good costume :)
@Bexandchaz4breyers that not possible, and by the way: you can see the paint on the croup
@HorseyHow2Channel No, she probably has it in painted tail wrap.
its vet wrap or something around a braid.... you can see the tail hairs at the dock...
I'm pretty sure its just wrapped all the way to the bottom with vet wrap or something similar, it doesn't look braided.
thats not a horse. thats a zebraaaa
Poor Horse!
ya im real surprised her horse doesnt stop or want to slow down but we all got stuff we gotta work on i guess
How did she braid the tail?! :)
@bailey181989 its free style reining. the rider get to dress themselves and their horse in any costume they want. she decided to make her horse look like a zebra
How did she do the tail like that?
I believe this bouncing was a part of the freestyle act. I found another clip of them in a reining class and she doesn't bounce there....
Look at the other clips from this user with Chiqua Little Lena and see for yourselves...
@rsanders30 no they're supposed to be giraffes -_-
haha, I didn't say i was... :D
i never noticed her comeing down to hard...but ya i looked back and during those lead changes i felt a little bad for her horse
@Bexandchaz4breyers ok, didn't know that. anyway I found some videos of Chiqua Little Lena and she had no stripes at all
Sorry, I'm half blind plus my laptop doesn't like youtube all that much.
I've got to learn how to do that wrap, maybe I could trick my kids this summer at camp. =)

acually, it looks like she stood up a bit in the stirrups, not bounced.
@OliverFTW99 I know a lot about horses and about riding, not only in english, but also western. :o:o:o belo que animal é esse?Cavalo Zebra?
@Beckailu ITs not a real Zebra Lol. Its painted on.
The only thing I'm wondering is why is she using two hands for the majority of the pattern? But at the same time the horse could be young? Obviously Idk =P
@allayjonas I am a pleasure person and I will not agree Rodea sure is where its at!!! XDD
@Beckailu Good lol cuz with some people on youtube you never know! LOL
I bet that black paint was fun to wash off. amazing performance though
needs some work on riding, and the horse could se a litle work but it was really fun to watch!
wat breed is it
ive noticing the bouncing even when shes in a canter.. but shes a kid she has a long way to go to get better riding skills as well.
What about the tail?? long
lol
Y do you say that
@RidinRopinCowgirl i second this! you peole can be very ridiculous :P
@OliverFTW99 I was thinking maybe that's how she was telling the horse to change leads, But either way she still shouldnt, it causes the horse to tense it's back and not move the way it should, and it also looks awful. I'm not here to fight about it, but many people dont know, so maybe next dont be so rude.
yas i agree but she should have sat them out better that is very hard on the horses back
Obviously the bounces on the lead changes were intentional. It's FREESTYLE. The lead changes were even timed to the beat of the music. Well the reason why she was bouncing is because she was lead changing. Why don't people just not judge her when they don't know that much -_-
When did lady gaga start horse riding?
I'd like to see a lot of these critical people ride this horse and NOT bounce... lol. For such a little rider on such a big moving horse I think she did pretty good, and it's obvious her horse is not upset by her riding style at all.
looks like a hunter jumper that they taught reining. The gait is weird
I want to do that!!!!!
i know she is making him do lead changes, but there is no need to bounce that much. i make my horse do lead changes all the time and i dont bounce that much. it looks a bit ridiculous.
what is on your head
