    This was ridiculously entertaining and informative at the same time. Thanks a lot Viper and Grubby for that great content. U are a really chilled duo. Please share more of such stuff in the future.
    Its nice to see how effective this kind of coaching is. Also the naturally occuring questions are a good thing for beginners.
    Also really funny how u both messed up your very first game.
    which shows, that a new game is always kind of overwhelming even for rts pros like you two are.

      In my opinion, WC3 is a very unusual game because unlike almost any other RTS, it’s got a lot of RPG elements where, more than how you build your base and units, how you creep, level, spend points, and acquire and distribute drops matter a lot. That’s why it is able to present a very involved and story driven single player, because you’re very involved in playing your heroes. Its legacy is spawning World of Warcraft and DotA. Meanwhile, AoE is a much more standard RTS and much easier to understand. It makes sense that a world-class RTS player can have success in AoE 2 after a couple training matches, whereas Viper struggled hard in WC3. I’d love to see both players after a few weeks of training, though. I have a feeling that they’d both be pretty dang good.

    Viper, I also see that you're wearing the new Manchester United home jersey. I'm a fan of United myself, although its been very hard to watch them recently! Hopefully they get back on the winning path soon. 😂

    Awesome collab! The greatest players of my two favorite RTS playing together are a sight to behold. Grubby did great with your calm and detailed guidance, you're such a good teacher. There was some perfectly reasonable moments of confusion at times coming from differences between the games but we could also see Grubby's skill kicking in when he felt more comfortable - for example his army massing macro was high level and he showcased sharp intuition with walling choices.
    Do you plan on going through campaigns of Warcraft 3, Viper? They serve as a fantastic tutorial to almost all the units and heroes in the game while also having captivating story which is honestly better than many actual books.

    • @AGoodLittleSub
      @AGoodLittleSub Před 2 lety

      tbh, i feel like he could be top 50 even quicker, if he actually was willing to really grind the game (not guessing that is going to happen, but would be really nice to see). He has been an absolute top player in one of the most competitive rts games for a good amount of time (wc3), was great in sc2, did great in aoe4, is not intimidated by data/ pure information but actually embraces it (which can be one of the most overwhelming parts of aoe2 i think, the huge scope of the game and hidden information one simply has to learn) and most importantly, appears to learn fast and be great at tactical and strategical thinking.
      But yeah, poor devs working on fixing tg elo 11
