Tim had great taste. I’ll never forget jumping through a thousand hoops back in the day to get the OG EP that had the acoustic covers on the backend. Still have them and play them regularly, but They Perched will always be my favorite.

I always wondered how Donovan malero and Anthony green thought of each other, Sianvar sounds pretty similar to Saosin, with the vocals of circa survive, and I've always seen it as inspiration and seeing this definitely reassures me that it's most likely inspiration
I met Donovan at a show with Hail the Sun opening for Circa and he told me he’s loved Anthony’s music for a long time lol so definitely

Hey! Donovan and Anthony are fairly close. At one point I was passing them at the festival, they were walking together arms linked. They are very aware of the ongoing jokes about them having the same voice and being the same person. They get along great and have a lot of respect for each other, they're both some of the kindest people I know.
Really hope we get some collabs between them on a studio recording in the near future.

the only song I have to use CZcams, for in the car, because it's only place to find the acoustic version. those late night jams though, it's a must.
Don't get me wrong I love his cleans but I think Donovan would be a perfect dirty vocalist for that band, with Kurt and Anthony handling the cleans.
Do not forget Adum Dabs. The creator of Sawce who had the privilege of playing alongside other legends. You'd be making a mistake.
It's amazing how Anthony and Don sound very similar yet have their own vocal quirks and differences that set them apart. Kurt also being a complete legend up there. I'd love for these guy to form one of them super groups.
Kurt & Donovan did at least a song together, "Don't Stay Long" off of Compassion. Compassion had a lot of material that was "recycled" Sianvar material, I believe Donovan's credited for writing some of the lyrics too. Makes me wonder how that album would've sounded with Donovan, but I just miss Sianvar haha.

@@nathanzondlo7393 it didn't create a genre.... You do know Post hardcore existed in the 80s and 90s right? Bands like Four hundred years, Native nod, Kolya, Slint, etc.
I love Saosin but it's a but irritating when people don't know much history about the genre they claim to "like"

And Post Hardcore encompasses a lot of different eras and sounds. I was being partially hyperbolic, but I stand by what I said.

I first heard this song in 4th grade when it came out. Went to swanfest expecting a new lineup for the setlist. When the intro rolled, I froze. I was in absolute shock when Donovan and Kurt walked out on the stage. The most magical and memorable moment in my entire life.

Still have that 2004 Saosin shirt along with translating the name EP CD. Still fits. Both are as new as the day I got them. Saosin isn't my favorite band but Translating the name goes hard nonetheless. It's a album that is nostalgic to 9th grade and how I met one of my best friends. Unfortunately he doesn't listen to Saosin anymore even though he introduced me to them.

Damnit dude. I didn't realize he was the singer of Saosin. They were one of my favorites. I was busy getting food and seeing hail of the sun at the time. I would have been so happy to hear this live.
Saosin had two vocallists. So it might not be the material youre familiar with.
Anthony was on the original EP and the most recent album, everyrhing else was Cove from Dead American

This was my introduction to Anthony Green, and this song. It was amazing hearing this live.
best song, best singer, anthony green is the fucking man.
So much better than the one I got! I was further to the left so I got a lot of sun in my recording which made everything pretty dark...
This was easily my favorite performance out of the whole festival. Three of the best singers in the scene slaying an emotional song, I was sobbing the whole time (luckily I'm a silent crier or that would be a weird upload)

No problem Honestly I just started recording when Kurt Travis came up on stage and wasn't expecting them to play this, good thing I did!
Unfortunately, I had to leave after Knocked Loose's set allowing me to upload this video early on, but from videos I've seen it was a difficult and emotional performance for DGD, definitely wish I was there. At the very least I was able to leave a note at the mural.
