Extreme Machines: The Liebherr R 9400 Mining Excavator. At Mine Expo 2012 in Las Vegas Liebherr presented the R 9400, which is particularly suitable for loading 150-190 ton dump trucks. Powered by a 16-cylinder, 1,250 kW V16 engine, the tracked excavator has a 22 cubic metre bucket capacity. Dr. Jörg Lukowski of Liebherr Mining SAS France explains the features of the R 9400 and how it complements the rest of the Liebherr Truck & Excavator range.
