Credit to Forest they had a game plan that made it very difficult to play our game. There was no space in midfield for Cucurella to operate. Poch tweaked the setup and returned Cucurella to traditional LB to maintain shape- CHO was class though, what a player 😮💨... Forest were smelling blood and their players started relaxing their shape allowing us expose space that we never had in the first 70min. That's what allowed Reece the space to run it and cross to an unmarked Jackson.
All in all I'm proud that the boys never gave up. There's been a real shift in mentality from this team. 4TH BEST FORM RECORD SINCE BOXING DAY! NEXT SEASON WE EATTTTTT

I swear this Jackson brudda he either holds the ball well or too fucking well. Sometimes he's too slow, sometimes he too rash trying to dribble a whole team but what's more important he's a good, technical, hard-working player. He's a bit of a dickhead(in a good way) and I love it.

The highlight today was the quality of performances we could have had all season with key players being fit and available. Our mental fortitude as regards coming back from behind of recent as been impressive. It shows this team have the stones to get results when it matters, sad we didn't have this much earlier.
One has to give credit to players like Caicedo who's contributions in the team can be overshadowed by prettier performances from forwards like Cole Palmer. His off the ball work is superb, and his on the ball ability; technical ability, ball distribution, is top notch.
Think at this point like you said the likes of Sterling and Nkunku need to be starting the rest of the games, we need to start and finish games strong, not chasing a win at the 80th minute with the likes of Mudryk and Noni being subpar for a huge chunk of the game.
This is one of the few occasions where we’ve been arguably the worse side and deserved to drop points but have taken all 3… THAT is what top sides do, they snatch results rather than letting them slip. Big mentality from the Chels 💙💙💙

These players all have little habits that they need to work on this summer. Obviously it’s fine because they are all young and can grow but they are old enough that some of these habits have become ingrained in their play. Mudryk needs to work on his situational awareness and composure. Same for Jackson, and Madueke. Gusto needs to work on timing his explosive speed to get the best out of his stamina and become more efficient and unpredictable with his speed. Cucurella needs to work on his forward passing through the press and positioning. Enzo needs to work on getting into the box more and timing. Gallagher needs the same as Cucurella. Our center backs both need to perfect transitional play against a low block team and how to get the ball to the wingers without relying on lobbing it upfield. But the biggest thing this offseason is to learn each others habits and how to compensate for them because it’ll never be perfect, and that’ll be up to Poch. Front 3 need to work on finishing and passing in the final third, and midfield need to work on runs in the box and positioning during possession play. Center backs need to learn how to position themselves during a counter attack. I think if we do this we’ll be a lot better next season.
