Sam is so pure. I can see why Jacob is drawn to him, because he’s not like a lot of ‘bro’ type men, he has sensitivity and intelligence.

I saw an interview with Jake where he revealed that they share some of the same kind of geeky hobbies. Something about shopping for stickers? Their real life friendship sort of super charges their on screen relationship I think. I've often thought actors must need to have a fairly high degree of trust to portray on screen romantic relationships that involve nudity & sex scenes. These two have evidently achieved that. The electricity they generate lights up the screen!❤️❤️❤️

And yes not only a degree of trust but the comfort level must be there too. They must feel so lucky to develop this close friendship and make their working dynamic on the show much more enjoyable because of that friendship.
I love everything about this but I just gotta say, Sam Reid's confident and knowing smirk as soon as they STARTED asking the musical question was just too much🤣. He keeps reminding me that they really did pick the right Anne Rice fanboy for Lestat.
Side note, as a competitive person I love how they took it seriously and refused to back down even when asked to.

I’m so grateful for Jacob Anderson and Sam Reid. Both are killing it in the series. Each phenomenal as Louis and Lestat . It’s magic when both share the screen. The chemistry explosive.

Somehow, I am not at all surprised that Sam Reid knew the lyrics to "Embrace It", a song from a musical that never got an official cast recording and than no one but a handful of people have seen outside of grainy cellphone footage from illegally filmed shows.
They have such a good relationship. No awkwardness, no hate, they are amazing.
The thing that stands out to me the most is that this rings true, even when they aren't seeing exactly eye-to-eye or do disagree about things(like in other interviews). If only the characters they play had that😅😅🙃🙂😁🤣 Then we wouldn't have Interview With The Vampire, we'd have slice-of-vampire-life!fluff. 🤭🤭😹🤍💜
They have created something together which will always be special in their careers, that’s why there is such a bond between them as actors. It’s very rare you find a co-star with whom you can create true magic and they have made it happen on their show.

these two and their friendship, it's so sweet!. I listed to one of the podacst interviews with Sam and it was just him for the interview but he said he hangs out with Jacob and they just been to get ice cream together and Jacob says hi... I melted lol I love their friendship, it's so awesome when actors click together it's what makes their chemistry on screen so perfect!
Their chemistry is on fire. I just adore watching them. They hang out a lot, go sticker shopping, go to the comic con (I forgot what costume Jacob was wearing), and go out for ice cream. Bailey said in an interview that she saw them walking on the beach together or texting a lot. In season 2, one of the actors said he went to a cafe to try a muffin (I don't remember exactly), but he said Sam said he should try it. Anyway, he went there, and Jacob and Sam were in there. I'm guessing they were on their lunch break. It's adorable. Some people might think negatively, but I just love their friendship and the chemistry they need to keep these two together. ❤️🫂🌹

I can’t believe I was so against the changes in the series (and they still give me concern on how the overall story will play out). but Hines toy these guys are awesome, love the, both, they’re both fans who know their stuff and absolutely bring the characters to life in the series and feel just as real and intense and immediate as the Interview Book did to me when I first came across it purely by accident so many years ago. Fantastic job everyone, can’t wait for Season 2 and beyond!!!

Sam acts like Lestat I swear. He's funny, he's charming, competitive, also quirky, but also the "art seeker" just like Lestat, who would randomlly sing just for the sake of art. The more I listen to Sam's interview the more I see Lestat in him. I think he was born to be Lestat. And Jacob my man, the first episode was very interesting, I saw a very steady progressive change in him from human to vampire from in the closet to "this is me - take it or leave it " person, he did a very round character in the series so far. As a Brad's Pitt fan of the acting of Louis, I found common things between their "Louis" which felt evry familiar but also just like a smooth transition from the old in to the new. Yes I can see missing stuff, as a huge fan of the books, but I can also see those small things that only the readers will know, but Sam/Jacob are doing a great job to paint those insights which does help us a lot. Waiting for season 2, and regretting already that it's going to be only a few seasons at most :(
