Such is how ALL RELIGIONs a came to be imho. One person didn’t like one thing. Changed it. That becomes their religion. Another person didn’t like that thing. That person made their own religion. Only ONE that truly knows what was truly written is those who wrote it and God.
I personally don’t agree I have to go to a building to worship and talk to my God. I also don’t think he will deny me for not going to church when I hold a special place deep in my heart for him and all he has done for me. I’m truly blessed. Stay blessed everyone. Your right, you do not need to go to church to talk to God or have a relationship with him. God does not want rituals. Although its not good to isolate yourself either. It is advised at Hebrews 10:25 "not to neglect gathering together, as some do, but to encourage each other especially as God's day draws near"

For sure these are not Jehovah's Witnesses or LDS for that matter. I have never had either come to my door chewing gum while preaching the gospel. Also members from those two groups usually seem more "down to earth" ("humble friendly"? not as pushy? or idk what that could be called) than the vibes I get from this pastor. But I did have a baptist pastor come knocking on my door here in Florida not so long ago. He was friendly and wanted to invite us to his church. I am guessing it is a new thing for the baptist denominations to go to knocking.
