These are extremely impressive for the cost. I've had MB Quart-from Germany, (my all time favorite speaker), Rockford, Alpine, and a few others. These would hold their own with those higher priced products. Don't sleep on these!...

I love those old MB Quart German made speakers too! I still have a pair of the 3.5" speakers from around 99. They were little screamers.

I have the 2 ways in my daughter's Kia and they do very well. I would suggest a amp to get more power and use a thicker gauge wire.

@omark2423 what gauge wire did you end up using? Which I ended up recently buying the meso 3 way kit (just like in this video) while on their black Friday sale... When I opened it up that's what I thought when looking at the wiring was I might use larger wire but at the same time the 6.5" mid is the speaker rated at the highest power which is 70-80w rms depending on which rating one looks at that CT Sounds provides for the 3 way kit (the box, the instruction manual & then the rating stamped on speaker do not all agree with one another as they give different ratings).
Either way I started thinking & 70w RMS is not that much so it seems to me the small wire that's included (maybe 18 gauge I'm guessing) should be sufficient considering one is using separate speaker wires for each component. In your case @omark2423 one pair of speaker wires going to your 6.5" woofer & one pair going to your tweeter. In my case having the 3 way then I'll also have a pair going to my 3.5" mid-woofer which has a 30w rms rating. *Note one thing I just thought of though is your two way component set may have smaller wiring enclosed with it than the meso 3 way kit, it is a possibility but I'm guessing the Chinese warehouse they use for distribution of all their cheap imported NON AMERICAN made products more than likely just toss in the same cheap small gauge cca speaker wire with all the kits no matter which component set it is. All in all my meso 3 way set appears to be of expected quality for the price that I paid for it. The guy in this video overhyped this CT Sounds set big time but I'm assuming that is because CT Sounds gives him free audio gear, or he just doesn't know any better & has not seen many mid tier to high quality component speakers. I'm not a follower of this channel so I'm not familiar with this guy's knowledge of car audio. I do know he is young. Btw for just a little more money both the D4S 2 & 3 way component sets sold by down4soundshop.com are a stellar choice for anyone wanting something of better quality than the CT Sounds sets. And I'm Not knocking on CT Sounds products by any means.
I'll end this comment I rambled too long... Everyone have a MERRY CHRISTmas!!!

  • @Pete.across.the.street

I would use some better wire for those. The crossover looks nice. What material are those made of? I put infinity kappas in my car, I am very happy with them.

So these are on my radar for a front stage in my sling. Iam running cicada 6.5 horn now in the sides and rear deck and they are fantastic. Need the 3.5 and tweets for a center stage. My question is can the mesos take sum power and it seems they are clear but can they get loud and still be clear to keep up with sum horns??

Yes I ride with all windows Down and sunroof open and they're plenty loud and clear enough to be heard and keep up with the sub

After going thru stuff like this for years my advice is to get some killer coaxes that you can drop into the stock positions rather than components.

Longevity of ct sounds is trash, I have all ct sounds in my truck and it’s been breaking little by little, 1st sub amp, then those components started going loud and the low by themselves, no bueno. Just stick with the quality brands. They sound good out the box for like 3 or 4 months, then they just start having issues.
