I've sometimes heard the comment that "Greek philosophy ended with the presocratics". The more I learn about them the more I agree.
And Heraklitus has to be one of my favorites in any case. Well ahead of his time, no doubt.
He's definitely my favorite presocratic, thanks for watching!
The absorption and emission of light is spontaneous, continuous change! The continuous movement of positive and negative charge, Union of Opposites!
I teach a class that includes a unit on the pre-socratics. I'm going to start recommending your channel as an additional resource! Great stuff you have here.
Thank you!
Thank you so much for this
Brother you NEED to do a video with Ancient Greece Revisited. You guys talk about the same things. He is Greek and both your channels deserve more views. Χαιρε!
Great video as always. ❤️
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed the video :)
To be honest, I am more interested in the practical aspects of ancient cultures. But these slivers of philospohy truly help contextualise those practical aspects and make them easier to understand and commit to memory.
For example, the fact that some Greek thinkers criticised the antropomorphisation of the gods never occured to me. It seems obvious in hindsight that some would, but I just never thought about it.
interesting material! 🙂
becoming and being are two sides of the same coin, but that's hard for all of us to understand, i believe
❤️👍💯
