I will openly admit that, while I never streamed, I used to be a very angry killer and would occasionally rant/vent in endgame chat. It all came to a head when I finally realized that all of the anger and frustration weren't getting me anywhere and were, in fact, starting to seep into my real world interactions, though rarely. Decided I needed to change and, funnily enough, the game gets a lot more fun when you aren't angry all of the time. Who knew?

I just started playing killer. It annoys me that when I play fair, but still hooks a few of them, they give me the teabag taunt at the gate. Well, gee, next time I won't play fair and deserve the taunts. Honestly, if you give me a good run for my money, survivors blocking and using flashlights, to stop me, it really doesn't bother me. I always end chat give them a GG. even if they were being jerks. Thank goodness there is no voice chat as I don't think anyone would want to hear the vile chat.

Honestly, it sucks that people like this report people constantly. It just makes it harder on BHVR to verify REAL reports of people cheating, truly harassing others, and things in that nature. BHVR genuinely needs to just give these people report bans and not let them report anymore, or better yet give them a week ban for "false reporting". Force these creatures to go outside or go play a different game.
that’s why making tickets have a greater chance of doing something vs just reporting ingame but i agree it’s ridiculous how often false reports are made bc someone is mad over a play style
@@ambse6413 Yeah for sure, but it's because of people that do that stuff and abuse in-game reports that we HAVE to go to BHVR's website specifically and open tickets for things if we actually want things done.
I've had great experiences with BHVRs customer service team when opening tickets to report people telling me to hang myself or things of that nature and they're generally pretty quick to respond too.
From what I know. In-game reporting does nothing at all.
In order to actually report someone, you need to go to BHVR's support site, and create a ticket with evidence of the cheats, harassment, etc.
@@blueboy1958 In-game reporting basically gives BHVR a piece of paper that says "Hey, there was an incident here. Here's everyone in that game" with your text that you put in.
Making the ticket on their site allows them to find that piece of paper using your ID and allows them to see the details of that match.
BHVR requires you to make a report in-game as well as a ticket if you actually want something to happen.

I’m a competitive person, and this game tilted me more than any game I’ve played. I honestly hate being that person, so I walked away and haven’t played in about a year. Enjoy watching content, but I recognize this game brings out the worst in me.
Im a very competitive person myself but this game really shouldnt be taken that seriously lol, we dont even have ranks. That being said killer especially can be a very frustrating experience.

But it eventually caught up with me and I had some very real world consequences because of it that deeply affected my life. Really glad to hear that you changed. Imo, it’s often only real world consequences that will get ppl like the guy in the vid to consider reflecting on their behavior, as unfortunate as it is. I’m very glad you not only reflected on your behavior, but had the maturity to realize you were wrong and make the effort to change. That’s rarer than you might think. Never stop doing it! You’ll never be 100% right at any point in your life, but that’s part of it! We learn and we grow, and accept the consequences of the action we take that hurt others.
Looking at this child's behaviour to this game reminds me of my entitled days of Dead by Daylight. I am still glad I watched your content and had some self reflection and bettered myself. If it wasn't for videos like this I think I still would've had that entitled mentallity
Yep, it's always better to change for the better rather than make excuses to stay the same. Judging by some of the comments and Spook's most recent video, this streamer has unfortunately decided to further project his misery on everyone else. Kind of sad, really. And he wasn't even crouched ... he was standing up! "No clue to my whereabouts" He was literally standing up where there is at least 180 degree open space around him at all times. Like that was the least stealthy think I have seen in a survivor. He was locked in on where the hook happened. There were 4 paths the Huntress could have taken from that hook and only ONE he would have had a good look at.

I desperately want someone to show him the recent post Peanits made in regards to the upcoming DS changes where they said "We do not want to remove the tunneling playstyle". Or the report FAQ that specifically says camping and tunneling are not reportable offenses, and outlines exactly what "holding the game hostage" actually means. Because he seems confused as to what an exploit is.

Y’know, I recently had my perspective on this game changed after I apparently made a nemesis so mad by just playing the game and looping him well for a bit that he felt the need to slug me for 4 minutes during endgame collapse when I was the only survivor left. Instead of getting mad I had a shit eating grin on my face knowing I made someone so mad by just playing the game normally. This game truly is what you make of it, miserable people will project

There can be reasons. Sunk cost fallacy. "I spent so long playing and spent so much money on this game, I have to keep playing it to make it worth it." And there is of course to hate farm. As weird as it sounds, there is a market on hate farming on the internet. You'll see in with certain things, like Star Wars or the current MCU, there are people who will watch/consume the content just to hate on it for clicks/interactions. It applies to games too, people play games they hate solely because hate clicks generate money.

It’s perfectly fine to have some issues with a platform’s rules or their execution of them, but people seriously need to learn what freedom of speech actually entails. Like… if I have people over at my house and one of them starts saying a bunch of stuff I or the other guests are uncomfortable being around I can kick that person out. It can be unreasonable and they can be annoyed and mad but I get to choose who and what is welcome in my space. They can still say and think those things, just not bring it into my house.

W/ that being said! Social platforms like Twitch have RULES and you have to abide by those rules or else you will be at risk of termination, that is part of the user agreement. No, you cannot say platforms like twitch, twitter, facebook, or anything else is "violating my first ammendment" when they are private companies. It's the same as "no shirt, no shoes, no service." If you do not abide by their rules, which you agreed to by signing up, you are at risk of termination. End of.
Edit: Apparently ppl are confused. I am not from the US. Under Canada's criminal code, you cannot discriminate or use discriminatory language to defame or hurt a specific group bc of characteristics. I used to act like him a lot. The difference is I was 13 at the time with unmedicated mental issues. I hope he does some self reflection and maybe gets a therapist or something. There's some unresolved issues going on there.
thats what i was thinking too. like, the absurdity is funny but i end up more unnerved by the sheer depth of his issues. the bigotry, projection, excuses, anger.. i genuinely wish he would find a game he enjoyed more instead of going through what he perceives as miserable matches over and over, disconnecting or giving up on hook, reporting practically everyone he plays against out of pure annoyance.
he almost seems to play the game JUST to have an excuse to be mad at something, which as far as i can tell is a somewhat common trait in people with mental illnesses and/or anger issues. i don't think he will, but i hope one day something happens that makes him wake up and realize what he's doing, and inspires him to make changes or get help.
Used to be in his community but I was trying to get him too see reason and not take the game seriously. even made a video about him after he got banned as me kinda giving him advice on what he should do now. Being banned and all, I do think he has a nice side, he has reacted to my videos on stream and he even gave me a little shout out and was pretty nice to me. He actually liked my videos too. Ofc after I made my video he was less than pleased with me. I cut ties with him shortly after. Sad that he hasn't taken my advice and he got worse. I tried to help him though but I can't say I didn't try.
I recently began playing killer. I don’t try and tunnel but I’m going after the first person I see. Which is usually the person who was just taken off of the hook. And only time I tunnel is when other survivors are sabotaging others. And I will go after them the whole match.

It happened to me twice in total. Once, I played with such a person (who was a friend of a friend), and once, it was with a friend of a streamer while I was just watching.
The person I played with would always get upset, either about the hitbox or my gameplay, and would often shout at me, which made me raise my voice too because I didn't want to tolerate it. However, I stayed because a friend I actually wanted to play with her because she hasn’t always time . Nevertheless, after 4 to 5 hours of Dead by Daylight, I couldn't bear it anymore, and she and I went offline because it was no longer enjoyable.
The streamer remained calm while streaming , although she also got upset, but let's say it was still within a reasonable range. However, the streamer's friend resorted to insults and became very personal. It’s so sad that people take dbd so serious I know sometimes it can be frustrating but it’s still a video game and people should laugh about it. I am laughing the whole time about the game if the hitbox is trash or the killer is camping slugging proxycamp or whatever… dear main survivors please play killer and then you will know how frustrating it is to play against a swf

They can't. They're miserable and use dbd as their "escape" but don't realize its just feeding into it. I know because I deal with alot of pain sometimes and on bad days I get really easily salty or whiny or you know sometimes im just in a bad mood. You dont really think about just "turning it off" because you know... You want to play. Youre either addicted because its your outlet or youre feeling bad so your coping mechanism aka the game is the only thing you really know to turn to. Its something you conciously have to become aware of and stop yourself.
i used to follow this guy on twitch, when i first met him in a game. this was maybe 1-2 years ago, and he wasnt like this. dude was super chill and nice which is why i gave him a follow. sad to see he turned into this

While I don't play this game my daughter loves it so I wanted to watch some vids of it and your channel came up. I have to say I don't think I've ever seen so much salt from players for any other game. The amount of complaining about mechanics that are literally just the game is wild. Calling them exploits is even crazier. Is this a really widespread problem or just the usual handful of complete idiots with a platform?

He rages out against people if he feels even kind of slighted when the problem if obviously him being so aggressive and overly defensive. Being egotistical enough to think everybody is targeting you but having such little self-awareness to realize that hes actually doing everything "bad" to himself. This is why mindset matters

I'm starting to think they don't understand tunneling.. i will tunnel if they unhook and body block. I will camp with area denial killers and I will slug if they body block hooks.
It would be expensive to implement, but I feel that games like DBD, Hunt: Showdown, and more would benefit from at least a kill cam that shows you the last 30 seconds from both your POV and the other person's POV. The best option would be to have the entire match recorded and can be reviewed from the POV of all of the other players in the match. Obviously I know the logistics involved with this would be extremely cost prohibitive, but it would be better for the community to rewatch the matches, see what you did wrong, and be able to correct that once you see how other players reacted to it. That kind of self-reflection doesn't happen with many online gamers, and instead often start accusing others of cheating, stream sniper, exploiting, etc... where being able to see what really happened would show more clearly what you did that gave you away and how they reacted. It would also allow cheaters to be appropriately called out and would even make it easier for them to be banned because you would always have videographic proof.

Found out real quick that no, they ain't walling. The amount of times I was jumpscared by survivors walking right in front of me when I turned a corner was insane.
Best part about the 3rd clip, exit gates were powered, there was no way the killer could’ve dragged out the game besides with no way out and he didn’t get close enough to the gate to find out

Most games nowadays use a credit score tied to player account to gauge how reliable a person's reports are. His reports get completely ignored I can tell you that much. The less often you report the better your score. The line of reasoning is, if you never report it means that you need a good reason to actually report somebody, and that means that your report weighs more than a person who reports all the time. Think of the score as a mana bar that slowly refills and reports being a spell that you can cast with 0 mana but uses up to x amount of mana per cast. The amount of mana used is based on current mana and the more mana consumed to cast the spell the more effective it is. This guy his casting his report spell on 0 mana instead of letting his mana bar refill.

I'm late to this, but I remember when I was really angry/rageful when I would play dbd. I had little self control until I grew up and learned that there are people on the otherside of this, while I might be shouting to no one, it's still not too healthy for me. I decided to make an improvement to my attitude and treat others the way I would want to be treated in the game. I still get angry at times, but it's far less than what I originally was like.
