Unusual year for these storms and the ability to get amazing visuals as the crops are not grown/planted, and the trees have no leaves. The light is amazing as the air is dry as compared to June/July when these storms are rather common. Ya'll should get a Micro 4/3thds with a fast lens to capture these amazing visuals. Spend the $ on a f1.2 lens. You won't be disappointed - also great for the other 360 days of the year.
I’ve dropped this comment on other tornado videos, I’m in Peoria, that was the 2nd discreet supercell in a week to hit the city. I’m surprised this one didn’t drop a wedge. The environment was perfect. Did you chase the first supercell in Peoria on the 31st?
It hit my place in tablegrove, we had a total loss and were in the trailer, even went airborne for a few seconds. There was a ton of damage but everyone in our town is ok
@Sydney Stoewer everyone in our town that was affected by damages didn't suffer any injuries, there was one person in lewistown who was listed as uncertain, she was outside trying to bring in her dogs. I count our blessings, thank you for those kind words. I just prey the seasons over.
we enjoy this thanks by the way no one of you guys 'intercepters' ever adds a word of explanation on what is going, how this phenomenon works an d such… if someone will add some science to the 8k he'll reach the 1M likes
Here it is in a nutshell. When conditions are right for tornadoes, the air is really unstable. You need wind shear. Winds at different altitudes traveling at different speeds, and directions. When the thunderstorm is formed you have warm moist air lifting, and cold air falling. When things really get going the air will start spinning. You have front down draft, rear downdraft, and inflow into the storm. These winds beging rotating vertically, and then move horizontal. When the column of air is connected cloud to ground, you have a tornado. You may know this already, and was just giving me advice to make a better video. Thank you. If not ok here it is.
You need to do two things: 1. Watch Skip Talbots Storm chaser safety videos based on the El Reno tornado and the deaths of Tim Samaras, his son and colleague. 2. Lol if you watch I stopped in what looked like the outer rotation. This looked like a large tornado, and i did not want to dick with it. The supercell was massive, and i knew it would produce big. On radar it looked like concentrated rotation behind me possible 2nd tornado, so I thought I would stay put. Saw a picture of the rolled storm chasers vehicle.
Definitely the best footage I've seen so far from this supercell! Great work! 🤩
Thank you
incredible images that opening shot is like a masterpiece painting
Nice footage ! I just think it would be better without the music sometime :) 👍🏻
needs a soundtrack just like Twister
Some of the footage is my outside top cameras. All you would hear is outside road wind noise. Thought I would fill it in. IDK just trying stuff.
@@TornadoCrewStormChasers It’s fine. Go heavier…
BOY THAT RFD WAS ROUGH! YOUR VEHICLE WAS ROCKING!

Great imagery of the storm, thanks
Glad you enjoyed it
Great mothership shots!
Thank you. It erupted into a very big one. Took me by surprise
I hope you didn't drive too close to this tornado. And thanks for recording this spectacular footage. Do you live near Macomb Illinois?
I live in Iowa. We also do live feeds on Facebook. Look up Tornado Crew Storm Chasers on Facebook.
House at beginning was saying “don’t leave me alone”
Nice footage!
Thanks!
Seasons just starting and we have had some bad ones all over, south, midwest, the plains, I wonder if we will get our overdue EF-5 this year.
I have been on a 3 and a 4 this year. A 5 I hope not.

No on the 31st I was on the EF-4 in Iowa. At different times this was an EF-3 wedge. It was rated at EF-3.

Oh my goodness! So sorry to hear this, I hope you and everyone at your home is okay

Sorry! wrong video ! I meant this for the guy who got rolled in the same tornado

@@TornadoCrewStormChasers the comparison of the two videos is very instructive.
High Risk Chris ate humble pie and admitted his bad judgment.
