This fruit is really underrated. It has a benefit that a logia doesn't have, being that you are completely unharmed from all swords regardless of whether or not they are covered with haki. In the new world, where most people have armament haki, the bara bara no mi's immunity actually is even stronger than a logia's immunity (ignoring the other abilities of the logia). If the bara-bara wielder has strong observation haki, he can probably do what katakuri did and split his parts that are about to be hit to avoid attacks. Also, just imagine if a cyborg like Franky had eaten the Bara-Bara no mi. Each of his body parts would be equipped with a weapon, so he can be shooting a bunch of lasers or bullets or do some sort of attack from anywhere by levitating everything around.

Luffy is immune to blunt and smashing attacks because he is rubber but he can be cut, Buggy is immune to cuts and slashing attacks because he is a chop-chop human but he can be punched. Imagine if Buggy has an awakening and turns out to be a mythical Zoan like Luffy. that would be interesting...

The interesting thing about Paramecia fruit compared to Logia and Zoan is that while Paramecia are the most common type and are more varied in terms of strength (where as Zoan and Logia fruit are typically viewed as being far superior in terms of combat while Paramecia vary) their true strength is that for the most part they aren't as limited in what the user is capable of. Generally speaking, from what we've seen of Paramecia, what the user can do with their ability is limited more or less by their imagination while Zoan are incredibly straight forward and Logia can be more predictable. Logia's rely heavily on their elemental attacks as well as letting their bodies become the element to avoid damage. Zoan (typically) only have three forms and these mostly just provide basic stat buffs such as increased speed, strength and durability (though depending on the animal they may gain other abilities). Paramecia however aren't as limited. As stated with both Luffy and Buggy's they have one basic trait, so the key to being effective with them is to master what this aspect can entail. Luffy's gears are the most prime example and in some technicality thanks to Buggy's ability he can "fly" as well as use some rather crazy martial arts of his own. Kuma's fruit is another example. At it's most basic it can repel any attack but he's learned that he can repel virtually everything, even pain one has endured. Again, this I think makes Paramecia far more dangerous, especially when they become awaken and can extend their ability to the environment. So while the most common and not most IMMEDIATELY powerful, those who train their abilities can make Paramecia the most powerful and broken abilities ever.

Honestly Buggy has been my favorite character since the fist time he was introduced all of my friends hate him but he is strong as hell, but he’s way too cocky
A truly proficient user could probably split the lowest layer of atoms on their feet ( condition for levitation) and then entirely freely levitate their body with no loss of body parts and no real weakness left behind.
Imagine if buggy was able to use advanced armament. He could take a very small part so someone wouldn't be able to see it then Launching it at the people. Striking with concentrated power
Imagine that combined with Arnament Haki. Just propel your 30 body parts coated with Haki and bombard the opponent. Or if you could split the body to even atoms, that would be ridiculously useful. Especially if each of those atoms are just as strong as the body as a whole. Buggy, though only having his upper half of the body, was able to lift Jimbei! Though, the “atom being just as strong as the body” thing likely wouldn't work. Still though, it's an insane power.
I always like the idea of a devil fruit encyclopedia. Like maybe have a small group of bounty hunters with a deep curiousity for devil fruits, wanting to know how many there are and what each one does.

Hey grand line, I know it's late and this vid was before you discussed awakenings potential but I was thinking what the Bara Bara no MI could do and think about this. If this fruit was awakened the user can chop up the environment giving them the power of levitation, deconstruction, and reconstruction for example if someone was trying to hit you with a car then split it in half, or chop up a building then throw it at your opponent, or even chop up their ship and sink em, all the while putting it back together for yourself. This would make this devil fruit damn near broken.
All I can keep thinking about is somebody whose a master of Rokushiki Having this devil fruit. I can only imagine somebody like Kaku having this ability. He could use multiple parts of his fingers to create multiple Gundam like bits to attack the enemy with the finger pistol technique.
Combine the gomu gomu no mi and the bara bara no mi and you get the most op df ever. No blunt or sharp attack works. You can extend your arm and do the gomu gomu no pistol but chop off your hand so all the elastic force goes into your hand for a extreme amount of damage and you can negate the effect of making easy counter attack.
I'd like to think that the awakening would be being able to split off at a cellular or even mollecular level, thus becoming to the naked eye like a sort of fluid, like air or water itself, which you can go "through" by simply pushing its atoms away, so he would seem to be intangible, much like Logias are
To be honest, the chop chop fruit might actually be FAR too OP if awakened. Imagine this; the awakening of this fruit is to spread the chopping effect to anything around buggy, but also, REASSEMBLE the parts. We saw something like this when buggy splits himself and re-attaches parts, like when he uses the buggy go-kart. But instead of just reassembling them, he can also change the properties of the pieces, such as their weight, size and speed, aswell as their shape and material their made of. Think of something like Burn D. World's devil fruit from XYZ. Could You imagine buggy launching a fist, then multiplying it's size, weight and velocity? And the Idea of this relatively simple fruit gaining an unfathomable power through awakening can also drive the connection between buggy and luffy; they were believed to have ultimately simple fruit, yet underneath they're almost godlike. It's fun to speculate seeing how initially different the fruits are, one for slashes, and one for blunt force.
Paramecia type devil fruits are the most common devil fruits out there but if u use it well just like luffy, it can be extremely OP Also paramecia type devil fruit awakening usually affects its environment or surroundings, so if ever Buggy eventually awakens his bara bara no mi, I would bet he can chop everything in it's surroundings; living or no living things, and control it freely. Just like Law's ability but without a room, and that would be pretty OP. Also if he can really chop or separate himself into atoms, hes not only immune to slash attacks but also bullets or literally everything. Buggy is just too much of a pssy to maximize his devil fruit's ability.
The fine dice technique where he becomes so small he is cut into individual cells and haki doesn’t work on buggy so this is op and with an awakening bruh he is a literal god having the world as his sandbox

His feet are key because he can not float/fly to far away from his feet. His feet can not just float so using part of him self as a makeshift floating pathway gives buggy all kind of new tricks he can do. Buggy can separate his feet from his ankles (making 2-3 disks from his ankles) Using his floating disks (made from his ankles) as floating stones to walk on (using other floating disks to continue a path in the air) With this buggy can walk in the air and walk across the sea.
arguably one of the most broken devil fruits in one piece, someone with physical prowess that isn't even reliant on the devil fruit could render even the strongest of swordsmen useless just through the passive immunity to slice/cutting attacks. not to mention that the awakening of this fruit could possibly control the splitting up of all objects around him and levitation control over them as if it was his own body, similar to the ope ope no mi.
theoretically the strongest swordsman could just slap him with the blunt side of their sword hard enough to kill him because he isn't immune to blunt force trauma, which is something many people in one piece could easily do
imagine a very good user for that fruit you could divide yourself many times you want, you could be invisible beacuse if you can control enoght parts, you can make you literally invisible non haki users, and if you can become so small that you can literraly enter inside your enemys body, well if its a logia better have haki if not they just gonna feel nothing
Saw a theory that normally, paramecia type users have to activate their powers to actually use them, unlike Luffy and Buggy’s ability which seem to always be active. Seeing as though we just discovered Luffys fruit is actually a mythical zoan type, we assume that Buggy’s fruit is of the same category. Also, an awakening of this fruit would be able to split things from afar. First thing that comes to mind is splitting an atom to cause an explosion. Now imagine infusing haki to this, it would be possible to destroy the red line itself.

I could swear at some point Oda was on record saying Bara Bara's limit was 'big chunks'... as far as fine control. When he got julienned, he pulled himself back together right after. I doubt he could really manage all those slices beyond reforming.
Maybe adding another information on the devilfruits fruit. Like The bara bara reincarnating into a pineapple or the gomu gomu being a melon? That would add an interesting fact and more thought to the devilfruits spawning point. Like the sara sara no mi is an apple and the ito ito no mi looks like a squash or a pear.

I notice that no one talking about the bara bara no mi includes the fact that is is uneffected by haki blades either, as technically speaking Mihawk's Blade, Yoru, is a constant black blade yet did nothing really effective to buggy.

All I can keep thinking about is somebody whose a master of Rokushiki Having this devil fruit. I can only imagine somebody like Kaku having this ability. He could use multiple parts of his fingers to create multiple Gundam like bits to attack the enemy with the finger pistol technique.
Combine the gomu gomu no mi and the bara bara no mi and you get the most op df ever. No blunt or sharp attack works. You can extend your arm and do the gomu gomu no pistol but chop off your hand so all the elastic force goes into your hand for a extreme amount of damage and you can negate the effect of making easy counter attack.
I'd like to think that the awakening would be being able to split off at a cellular or even mollecular level, thus becoming to the naked eye like a sort of fluid, like air or water itself, which you can go "through" by simply pushing its atoms away, so he would seem to be intangible, much like Logias are
To be honest, the chop chop fruit might actually be FAR too OP if awakened.
Imagine this; the awakening of this fruit is to spread the chopping effect to anything around buggy, but also, REASSEMBLE the parts.
We saw something like this when buggy splits himself and re-attaches parts, like when he uses the buggy go-kart. But instead of just reassembling them, he can also change the properties of the pieces, such as their weight, size and speed, aswell as their shape and material their made of.
Think of something like Burn D. World's devil fruit from XYZ. Could You imagine buggy launching a fist, then multiplying it's size, weight and velocity?
And the Idea of this relatively simple fruit gaining an unfathomable power through awakening can also drive the connection between buggy and luffy; they were believed to have ultimately simple fruit, yet underneath they're almost godlike. It's fun to speculate seeing how initially different the fruits are, one for slashes, and one for blunt force.
Paramecia type devil fruits are the most common devil fruits out there but if u use it well just like luffy, it can be extremely OP
Also paramecia type devil fruit awakening usually affects its environment or surroundings, so if ever Buggy eventually awakens his bara bara no mi, I would bet he can chop everything in it's surroundings; living or no living things, and control it freely. Just like Law's ability but without a room, and that would be pretty OP.
Also if he can really chop or separate himself into atoms, hes not only immune to slash attacks but also bullets or literally everything.
Buggy is just too much of a pssy to maximize his devil fruit's ability.

The chop chop is actually very op i mean if he had buso haki he could’ve split all his body part and make his body fly around randomly and unpredictability on his opponent in super sonic speed and he can make one of his hands with the knife claws go super sonic speed in sideways he could also shoot one of his hand super fast catching his opponents off guard then hitting his opponents with his other body parts he also could split all his body parts into atoms if he’s highly skilled and turn his chop chop into a logia like dough dough Tbh if i could choose any devil fruits in the one piece universe it would either be light fruit, dragon fruit, thunder fruit or chop chop fruit. Buggy just needs more training, more speed, buso haki, the precision haki thing(i forgot the name) and more power and i would make this much more longer if i wanted too and i could make a whole book with chop chop awakened
His feet are key because he can not float/fly to far away from his feet. His feet can not just float so using part of him self as a makeshift floating pathway gives buggy all kind of new tricks he can do.
Buggy can separate his feet from his ankles (making 2-3 disks from his ankles)
Using his floating disks (made from his ankles) as floating stones to walk on (using other floating disks to continue a path in the air)
With this buggy can walk in the air and walk across the sea.

arguably one of the most broken devil fruits in one piece, someone with physical prowess that isn't even reliant on the devil fruit could render even the strongest of swordsmen useless just through the passive immunity to slice/cutting attacks. not to mention that the awakening of this fruit could possibly control the splitting up of all objects around him and levitation control over them as if it was his own body, similar to the ope ope no mi.
theoretically the strongest swordsman could just slap him with the blunt side of their sword hard enough to kill him because he isn't immune to blunt force trauma, which is something many people in one piece could easily do

If you if you can split apart and random somewhere range that means you could see except with the
imagine a very good user for that fruit you could divide yourself many times you want, you could be invisible beacuse if you can control enoght parts, you can make you literally invisible non haki users, and if you can become so small that you can literraly enter inside your enemys body, well if its a logia better have haki if not they just gonna feel nothing

Saw a theory that normally, paramecia type users have to activate their powers to actually use them, unlike Luffy and Buggy’s ability which seem to always be active. Seeing as though we just discovered Luffys fruit is actually a mythical zoan type, we assume that Buggy’s fruit is of the same category.
Also, an awakening of this fruit would be able to split things from afar. First thing that comes to mind is splitting an atom to cause an explosion. Now imagine infusing haki to this, it would be possible to destroy the red line itself.
if he could split all his body parts into mm sized pieces, he could throw his feet at an oppenent, split himself into those little cubes, force his way into their body and reform himself inside their abnominal cavity, pulling off a noob saibot style execution. dope.
I could swear at some point Oda was on record saying Bara Bara's limit was 'big chunks'... as far as fine control. When he got julienned, he pulled himself back together right after. I doubt he could really manage all those slices beyond reforming.

Maybe adding another information on the devilfruits fruit. Like The bara bara reincarnating into a pineapple or the gomu gomu being a melon? That would add an interesting fact and more thought to the devilfruits spawning point.

The Bara Bara no Mi seems like it would have a super strong awakening. Imagine being able to chop up your enemies and control everything but their feet.
I think buggy's feet CAN float but he needs atleast 1 or more limbs on the ground to float and if it was any other body part he'd have more limited movements, it's not easy to walk on your hands.
After reading the comments it seems like the awakened bara bara will be the ope ope no mi. Or, clear clear fruit, or Dr. Manhattan
If bara bara no mi is awakened... would the user be capable to split particle level like and/or detach his opponent's body parts by having contact with it.?? That would be awesome...

Buggy's awakening would either make him like Law, being able to split other things besides himself or like Crocodile, being able to split himself cell by cell and becoming a sort of particle man.

I notice that no one talking about the bara bara no mi includes the fact that is is uneffected by haki blades either, as technically speaking Mihawk's Blade, Yoru, is a constant black blade yet did nothing really effective to buggy.
with that devil fruit you could also turn yourself into dust and allow the person to breathe in the dust and then reform choking the person
