#ThisMorning - Zábava
It's Fawlty Towers not Faulty Towers
Maybe they are trying to be funny and do their take on the changing letters at the start of each show.
I doubt it though because it is This Morning after all.
Whose fault was that? John you're on ITV , what ever you do, don't mention the BBC 🤣
@drew8958 c'mon it's nobody's fawlt.
@@karldilkington8802Well, it is.
It's Faulty Towels
I met John Cleese over the weekend i was so honored 😁
Where did you meet him?
I love Fawlty Towers one of the best British comedies ever made. I still watch the reruns. My favourite is the Waldof salad - hilarious. John Cleese is great.
"A camel is a horse designed by a committee" 😂
The end of this interview was hillarious. Segment is over but John is making a point and the presenters wondering where he might go with it so get very nervous. Then he gets cut off and you hear John say ' and the other thing ' ...
I love the mayhem Cleese creates.
Hilarious 🎩
Yes John Cleese always a legend he’s 85 this year so that means he’s halfway in his 80s now and he’s still got two daughters Cynthia and Camilla and two grandchildren grandson and granddaughter via his daughter Cynthia
Joan Sanderson was wonderful as the cantankerous old deaf woman. My favourite episode.
Love fawlty towers….own the dvd boxset….love it👍👍👍👍👍👌👌👌👌👌👌12 episodes….I always thought it was much more episodes😂…John Cleese is great
"Faulty Towers" in my opinion is one of the best comedy sitcoms. ageless.
*fawlty
dyslexic. try to brush over words asap. @@stevenknight1198 🙂
God bless!!! Lost for words again........😊
As John said, it’s depressing watching Fawlty Towers these days because the vast majority of the actors have passed on. Every time I rewatch it, more have gone. Bernard Cribbins and Geoffrey Palmer held on for a long time but now even they’re gone. You don’t have to have known these people personally to find it saddening.
its brilliant,, it has so many layers,,, of humor,,,, like an onion,,,,
"Fawlty", not "Faulty" . This Morning, this is sloppy. Please proofread your titles.
"John we have to leave it there, you're going off pre approved subject matter."
My fave episode is The Germans😂
Don't mention the war!
I mentioned the war once but I think I got away with it
They started it!
@@bigal3055 Exactly, when they invaded Poland
best line (or one that always stays with me) "not another one" dragging a old woman🙂
as all the bodies were piling up if I were staff I would have definitely said to Faulty "youre paying the tip mate"🙂 brilliant show.
Bernie Cribbins. Never heard this before. I am grateful he was able to return to the screen one last time as Wilfred Mott. I cried a bit if I might say.
Somehow, I always forget Fawlty Towers was only 12 episodes. Just goes to show, it’s quality, not quantity that matters. Cheers John Cleese and Connie Booth.
Cribbins was also great in the 1983 Tales of the Unexpected episode The Memory Man.
I can't believe itv have misspelt Fawlty
Misspelt/misspelled.
@@jardbinkley3144 yes thank you, but I'm not a media outlet and the word misspelt doesn't have legendary status.
@@stevenknight1198 Haha so why did you correct it? Come on, admit it. It's kind of a funny context in which to misspell a word.
@jardbinkley3144 err I corrected it because you pointed out my error. I know its funny that's why I liked your comment.
It's not FAULTY Towers!!! It's FAWLTY Towers! "John Cleese Revives Faulty Towers and Brings It To The West End Stage | This Morning"
I can never understand why a 2 hour programme cuts someone off after 7 minutes, usually 4 minutes. Surely a good producer can do a few tweaks later on to get things back on time. They should never have the celebrity interviews in last for this reason .
It's a format careening into obsolescence. Long form conversations in non-traditional media are taking over, and for good reason.
Interesting they touched on the fact that he is now writing with his daughter, but didn't actually ask about the new series of Fawlty Towers he is meant to be writing with her. The just stuck to discussing the original and stage show, which is a bit of a shame. I would like to hear the reasoning behind trying to bring it back for new episodes, and how that is going.
Nervous presenters getting a bit panicky towards the end😅😅😅
Fawlty
"Whats wrong with you... Don't you have dogs in Calcutta?"
Somebody at ITV clearly cant spell!!
what's the big deal? It has been done in regional theatre for decades...also overseas and in different languages even...easy pre-sold crowd pleaser...I'll stick to the 12 episodes
Such an awful decision to cut off one of the most iconic figures of the last hundred years
Thankful that you didn't spell 'Towers' incorrectly
... Faulty ??? what's wrong with him ? *lol*
Seriously, you have a legend like John Cleese and you cut him off mid-story to go to break? Amateur hour.
Yes rather ridiculous. Time to turn off
I'm a huge Miriam Margolyes fan and I've never forgotten her saying he was so mean to her. On a different topic....he needs to watch his diet. Carrying that much weight around his torso is very unhealthy at his age.
Old men get pit bellies, and Miriam Margolyes gives as good she gets, despite always being the victim in her tellings of her many, many conflicts with others. I adore her but take her with a grain of salt.
As the bbc is so woke now the script needs to be squeaky clean. Even the west end will pick fault with anything out of place
wrong
so the fuss about a new show they all made last year isnt being done ?
Cut him off at the end? Why? Makes no sense .
Theatre show is absolutely terrible I’m afraid. Just doesn’t work. When we saw it there were many patrons leaving early, it wasn’t good at all.
This is why television programmes like this are dying - good guest cut off after a couple of inane questions !
I loved Fawlty Towers or Watery Flowels. lol but I watch some again recently and found the humor was so dated. Sad…
It’s not dated, it’s because you got older and it’s harder to laugh at the stuff you did as a kid or young adult. In a way it’s us who have dated.
Dear producers. PLEASE ensure more time is set aside for inerviews like this... There is nothing more annoying than a presenter cutting someone off half way through a good story.
man got an ex wife to pay off?
John is to old now he lacks the intense acting. Also its 2024 you cant joke much about anything these days.
That's because the younger generations have been denied of good sense of humour and people are just lost with it there's not much a sense of anything these days the humour is sadly long dead and gone.
@@joshuajoshua2732 no they just have a different sense of humour. When you were young did you like the same thing as your grandparents?
