About Kaunertal Glacier Road - Austria's Most Beautiful?
If not the most beautiful, then one of the most beautiful rides in Austria. Contrary to other high alpine roads this ride has very few cars, making it a heaven for cyclists. It is a long and difficult climb, but the changing gradient of the road breaks down the monotony. The first segment of the ride consists of forests and is nestled between tall and impressive mountainsides. This segment takes you up to a beautiful lake. As you ride along the lake you can rest your legs and enjoy the view. The next climb takes you to a very beautiful valley from where you can see a glacier in a distance. You cross a small bridge and from here you climb into an alpine fairytale of amazing scenery, glaciers, and the mandatory cows roaming around. The ride takes you up to a small ski resort and ends in front of the Kaunertal Glacier.

    Just add music:
Most cyclists would agree that the ride to Col du Tourmalet is awesome. But when it comes to music opinions are very mixed. This is why we have not added any music and why we recommend adding your favorite music to the ride. It is quite simple. Mute CZcams and open a browser window. Find a site that offers music (Spotify, CZcams, etc…) and pick the music you like, and enjoy the ride... The original sound of the ride has been left out. This is because the natural sound of the surroundings is drowned by noise from passing cars, vibrations from the road, wind, and the rider's breathing.

It is an amazing ride, but unfortunately not that well-known.

This is the kind of cycling video I like to use. No speedometer, slopes, or little guys pedalling too fast blocking the view. No music necessary since I use my own.
Two suggestions: stop once in a while and show the views, we can still pedal if we want. 2. Raise the camera a bit - less road and more mountains and clouds. Also, that would make it seem like we were going downhill more.

Hi David, Thank you for your comment. Glad you enjoy our ride along video. The videos are made for our real life indoor cycling app Open Road. The app transforms the effort of the ahtlete into speed. The makes it possible to play the video at the speed of the athlete. This is the reason we do not stop on our rides. As a friendly courtsey we also post the videos here on CZcams so more can benefit from them.

You have to play your own music

I agree, the lack of sound on any of these videos turns something that would be brilliant otherwise into something that is just okay. You cycle or walk in these places at least in part for the sounds. Totally removing them isn't natural so makes the videos seem less authentic.

I use my own music. I don't like the repetitious sounds some such videos use.
