I actually just seen blackAF on Netflix not too long ago, and Tyler Perry was on an episode playing himself.
Basically, Tyler had a moment with the main character telling him that he shouldn’t care about what people think about his art and Tyler used his work as an example of why he don’t care about what people say about him because of his duty to his community to tell their stories.
