- The tensioner had been making noise on my E46 and it's a good thing I got to it when I did...

I'm just a guy in Kansas playing around in his garage. Come along in my adventures riding, racing, modifying and repairing my small fleet of unusual misfits.

This is one of my favorite videos I've watched on this platform 🎉🎉
I sensed some *tension* between you and these belts.
Lmfaoooooo
Cute comment for sure
"I'm sure I'll remember this routing."
"Shiiiiiiny."
"There's a nice collection of broken garbage, let's take a look at the new garbage."
"This is a slightly dished washer which goes on in *dish* direction"
Came for the wrenching videos, stayed for the goofy/sarcastic humor.
The Tensioner cover! ahh
Nice work! I like seeing these kind of repairs, and glad to see you getting this ZHP back into shape!
12:48 X-files theme for that moving wrench lol
Love this type of video. Great job!
😁"I'm SURE I'll remember this routing"😁 You're a better man than me; one glance at a belt routing diagram and my brain turns to JELLO!

Don't forget these need to be torqued correctly.
Great Video ! Thank you
Interesting video, Jake. This is a job I need to tackle fairly soon on my Volvo 240 wagon. Do the timing belt and front seals at the same time as well as the oil separator and flame trap. Ain't European cars FUN?
I just did this same service with these same parts on my ZHP 10 days ago.
Did you "prime" the hydraulic tensioner per the instructions? There should have been illustrated instructions showing you to tension and release 3 times taking 5 seconds per cycle.
I did off camera but only because the internet told me to. The hiroglyphic instructions were... A bit obtuse
Lol I put on this video and I got a Jake from State Farm commercial
Boooo. Too easy! ;) . Seriously though I enjoy your attitude and...Word choice I guess. Amusing and informative.
Did you get the dust cover on that tensioner later Jake?
