This was deep. God is so relentless in His pursuit of us!

I love the vision of the cloud by day and the fire by night. I heard that during the war in Afghanistan, there was a group of soldiers who were protected by a cloud by day and were able to go forth because of the fire by night. God is still with His people - people back in the US prayed for these soldiers and God answered their prayers!

"It was never about the animals... It has always been about their hearts" ~ TLC
A good reminder for us in this day, to make sure we're not going along blindly with rituals and traditions, and forgetting to seek the very heart of God🙏🏾🙏🏾

Isaiah reveals that God will fulfill His people, and each one of us-regardless of our earthly circumstances (single or married)-will be joined to Him under His marriage canopy (Is 4:5). As TLC’s research points out, the cloud and fire of God’s presence in the wilderness has become a marriage canopy. But there’s a clear process that God wants for us, to be brought into a union with Him: Recognize my rebellion (Is 1:5). “Why do you continue to invite punishment? Must you rebel forever?” Then, we must know that He can “wash me and I will be whiter than snow” (Is 1:18). He will “remove all impurities” (Is 1:25), and “idols will completely disappear” (Is 2:18). And what is amazing is that the way that the Lord restores each of us is the way He restores our whole human experience (Is 2:3): “People from many nations will say, ‘Let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, where He will teach us His ways, and we will walk in His paths.’” He calls us to trust Him (Is 2:22), that He is powerful, loving, and will restore us into an intimate relationship with Himself.

“In that day mankind will cast away their idols of silver and their idols of gold, which they made for themselves to worship, to the moles and to the bats,”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭2‬:‭20‬ ‭ESV‬‬
This is my God shot, I’m aware that it doesn’t have a lot to do with God, but I chose this as my God shot because I think it is a good scale, or a reminder as to how far strayed away Israel at the time and we as current Christians may or may have strayed away from God and started worshiping things like money, cars, and popularity rather than what’s really important. Him. God bless.

    Verses Worth Meditating On:
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭1:17‭-‬19‬ ‭KJV‬‬
[17] learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow. [18] Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. [19] If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭2:10‭-‬11‬ ‭KJV‬‬
[10] Enter into the rock, and hide thee in the dust, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty. [11] The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭2:17‬ ‭KJV‬‬
[17] And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low: and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭2:19‬ ‭KJV‬‬
[19] And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭2:21‬ ‭KJV‬‬
[21] to go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the tops of the ragged rocks, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭3:10‭-‬11‬ ‭KJV‬‬
[10] Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings. [11] Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him.

God is after our hearts. No sacrifice is sufficient for our sins except the sacrifice of Jesus becoming sin and being rejected by His Fater. What pain, what agony! God sacrificed His Son for us. For our sin.
God turn my heart to You. Help me focus on You. Guide me. Give me discernment for Your Will. God, I have Your Holy Spirit in me. Let my free will choose You and choose to listen carefully to you instruction and respect Your perfect timing.

God is Judge (Isa 3:13). He washes away our filthy sin and cleanses us (Isa 4:4). His presence is a "shelter and shade from the heat of the day, and a refuge and hiding place from the storm and rain" (Isaiah 5:6). This verse especially stood out to me with the heat wave we are experiencing in Fresno right now and the storm of life that is currently raging in my family. I got teary eyed reading it as I feel the weight of the storm, but know He is my hiding place. 🫶🏽

Isaiah is a major prophet. This is based off of length and not importance.
This book is 66 chapters long. It is laid out by poetry.
It is the Old Testament book most quoted in the New Testament.
Prophecy is truth speaking here. Things that have already happened.
Like Nathan prophesied to King David about his sin with Bathsheba.
As far as todays reading the northern kingdoms of Israel are finished. But in future days we will continue to read more about them in chronological order.
Isaiah is telling Judah to pay attention to what happens to Israel. He warns them if they don’t obey God this can happen to them.
Chapters 40-55 will be about the coming Messiah- Jesus, about 700 years later.
    Chapters 56-66
When God establishes the new heaven and new earth.
We see God upset about the peoples offerings. God doesn’t want dead animals. He wants their hearts.
The people wanted a pass from God so they could continue in their sins.
He shows them that a changed heart will look different.
Isaiah depicts the people as a vain woman.
Despite the people’s sin and selfishness God still wants to be with His people.
    He is so loving!
