Proof that Linda was really playing keyboard, even if simple ability, was competent. Also her backing vocals were very important to the vocal sound of Wings
He makes everything look so effortless. Even singing the high notes or screaming, perfectly relaxed and in control. And it had to really make him happy to see Linda become a functioning member of the band, taking care of the keyboards and other things.
Linda was the trend setter in 73-74. She cut her hair short on top and long in the back. All the girls started showing up at school with their hair cut like hers. It was a good era.
That's not a mullet! It's a shag haircut! Linda had the same. The shag came out of the UK Glam Rock scene. David Bowie had one as well. The mullet is less pleasing to the eye and is a product of the 1980s!!!

People can talk bad about Linda's ability all they want, but some of the greatest songs of all time are also some of the easiest to play. She clearly plays her role here and nails the part. I can't help but think she was a fantastic inspiration for Paul's songwriting. He even said once that "Every love song I write is written for Linda." This incarnation of the band was particularly good. And the engineering, even the performance, is even better than the album version. This piece of footage is a treasure.

I started attending concerts at the age of 13 in 1973. I saw some great bands in the 70s and 80s and I missed a lot great ones too. I wish that I could have seen this band in about 1976. By then, they were playing most of their best songs in concert, including several of Paul's Beatles hits. I heard their music all the time on the radio. My stepsister had the Band On The Run, Venus and Mars and the Red Rose Speedway albums and I saw them playing on "live" on TV. It's hard to convey how good this band was at the time. A few of their albums were masterpieces and they seemed like they were having the times of their lives on stage. They epitomized the pure joy of making music.
This an excellent archive of a hyper popular 70's band. Time capsule material. Power Pop to be sure. Every 60 years or so a musical and performance genius at capturing good vibes come along. Paul was one of those types of artists. Uplifting and multifaceted music. Far more complex yet simple somehow than many an artist.
McCartney, one of the greatest melodic singer-songwriter musicians of the 20th century uses a pick to play bass...so do not listen to those who frown upon bassists who use a pick...it is perfectly fine to use a pick on a bass guitar...
I was 16 or so when this came out, didn't really get into the Beatles either, now I love them both and so many good videos here to bring a smile to me face! Paul is an incredible composer, brilliant bassist, I guess that's Elton John on drums! Awesome guitar, and Linda is a great part of the band, brilliant keyboard and an overall hot babe! And this is as good as anything recorded or live...
They can put this entire rehearsal session for their upcoming world tour on television on a Saturday night in America and people will watch it all the way through. And the ratings will be great. Linda McCartney saved Pauls career by telling him to put a band back together, spread his " wings" a little. He said " who would be in it?" Dunno she said. Paul asked " Would you be in my band Baby?" She said " Why do you want me?" Lovely Lindas confidence in Paul was immense. The Tour and record only made Wings the biggest musical act in the world! Wings Over America is still one great Live album, and it was the first by an ex Beatle to include Beatle songs played in concert on it.
Even in rehearsal mode, this is a prime performance
Yeah ... Having Fun .... being casual ....😁. Makes me Smile.....

Flying to San Diego next month to go see him.
Linda and Paul were amazing together in every way.
Absolutely!
I'm a pick user , people that criticise that are the same sort of people who sneer at you when you can't pronounce a red wine correctly
Linda. Simply gorgeous.
funny haircut: cute!
What a groove . Amazing
I cannot get enough of this video! Wings ❤️👐❤️
incredible voice!
What a great song,, Linda was so beautiful and a great piano player,,R,I,P,,💖
I think if this kid sticks with it, he could have a future in music 🎵
I was 16 or so when this came out, didn't really get into the Beatles either, now I love them both and so many good videos here to bring a smile to me face! Paul is an incredible composer, brilliant bassist, I guess that's Elton John on drums! Awesome guitar, and Linda is a great part of the band, brilliant keyboard and an overall hot babe! And this is as good as anything recorded or live...
no, it's Geoff Britton :))
I forgot how much I loved their music. Good reminder!
