Cyber Smoke had this Fatality in MK3. It was officially a Cyrax Fatality after MK4 (Gold) which makes more sense. Cyrax is the one with the bombs!

The first time I did this my jaw dropped and I stared at the screen for a while thinking how insane this is. Easily one of my favourite fatalities in the game

For people saying this fatality should be Cyraxs instead of Cyber smoke, smoke had the bomb fatalities (his other fatality he literally makes you eat a bomb haha). Cyrax was known for his self destruct fatality. Sektor was the only other cyber ninja who used explosives, but more as missiles.

☝🤓 Just for the record: In MK3, it was Smoke who had a fatality involving dropping a load of bombs on the ground and blowing up the whole world. Smoke was a hidden character, so I guess Netherrealm thought this would be rarely seen, so they can go wild.
Cyrax had a fatality where he would initiate a self-destruct sequence, blowing up both himself and the opponent (a reference to the Predator movie, which inspired the robot ninja designs).
But no bombs - and no blown-up planet Earth. It wasn't until MK Gold that this fatality here was given to Cyrax.
