The only downsides of buying it online from an actual music store is that usually the music stores adjust it for you, mine also had action, entonation, truss rod, neck angle, had to do basically everything. But it's a pretty good guitar overall, nothing took me much time to adjust and it sounds good, might not even change the pickups (ever).

Hi Mitch, great video! How do these S by Solar news guitars actually compare to other entry-level guitars by bigger brands? Are they like Jackson JS series, Ibanez GIO series and so on? Thanks
Thanks! In terms of specs they are pretty similar, but from what I've played, the build quality for S by Solar feels better, or at least more consistent. I do like the entry level Ibanez and Jackson guitars, but I feel like they can be very hit-or-miss with the build quality

They're both great guitars, it mostly comes down to personal preference

What was the import duty cost?
Total shipping and import tax was about $40
Edit: I didn't have to pay anything extra to UPS after shipping if that's what you mean
solar made in Indonesia has the best quality, but this solar made in china could be budget friendly for me

how did you pay the ups duty and tax fees? cant seem to find it anywhere when i enter the tracking
Did you get a notification or something that you needed to? I did have to pay UPS when I ordered my Solar over a year ago, but not for this one
@@mitchavedon i got the tracking via email that its been shipped, but today when i checked it said something abojt paying duties and taxes in order for ups to deliver it to me, might have to go to an actual ups location đ€
