Say your $60,000 solar system works fine reducing your bill 75% and the gov did give you a 30% tax credit and your bill went from $200 a month to $50 a month. Your still financing $42K over 20yrs. So, you're paying $184.25 + $50 for a total of $234.25 per month on a house with a $200 avg electric bill. You'll break even in 7yrs and probably be saving 50% just about the time you need to replace the system.
One thing most people overlook is the price of electricity and fossil fuels will have increased dramatically in 25-30 years. They were a lot cheaper 25-30 years ago, especially with the rapid inflation we have now. How can anyone be so blind to that? Also the idea if you are going to finance is to pay the loan off within 5 years, not carry it for 10-20 years.
You need to pay maintenance costs in a few years when the system is getting older ! Pink Energy can install a lien on your house and that would create a brand new problem when you put your house up for sales.
You forget that the panel efficiency degrades over time. You will be lucky to get the same power from them in 10 years.

I so sorry you good people have trusted an industry when the middle man is just a prop.
Run the numbers. The math will not add up.
What your unit is actually producing is being siphoned off and your handed a marginal bill saving while the Utility company is getting the benefit of your space.
Setup an independent metered on your system and run the math.
Then all of you home owners need to file a class act law suit against the companies selling you the equipment.
Get together. Meet and contact a certified company who can evaluate independently what your actually generating and ask the attorney general to respond.
