You look so happy through out this whole video! Makes me smile to see someone so un-filteredly happy 😃
The Argo stacked with a drive is really great. Glad I'm not the only one who loves that tone!
This is awesome!
Congrats Jackson! Your pedal board looks and sounds great! You can tell you put a lot of thought and time into it, and you look very happy as well. Cheers man.
I've just started using the OBNE signal blender which is similar to a stripped down version of the tri parallel mixer and yeah game changer is an accurate sentiment. Your build looks very aesthetic and sounds killer!
Great video mate !! My main two pedals are The Strymon Flint and thanks to your awesome Demo of the BEETRONICS Royal Jelly It's now my main Overdrive/Fuzz Pedal, Keep up the quality videos man !!
Love my Slo reverb pedal. Just bought the Julia chorus as well. Sounds amazing with my Ernie Ball Stingray and Hughes and Kettner Tubmeister!! Love getting lost in those luscious reverbs..
So happy for you. Also I am huge JAM fan, and I'm quite happy that I see two of then. I have the doubledreamer and the wahco and now I working towards finding reverb and delay pedal as well as booster and preaml stuff. I tell you with this video I'm taking ideas so Thanks
Far more there than I could ever need.
That said, it’s f**king magnificent and the ergonomics are a dream
I love your pedalboard! It's symmetrical in it's layout! I dig it with a great selection of pedals! Thanks for sharing Jackson! Boomer greetings from sunny Hollywood California!
That's a fabulous palette of sounds at your feet there - nice job putting it all together. I'm just trying to digest the idea that a pedal can be "Too analogue for its own good".
Thx for the ideas... I have the TPM, mood, Slo, and El capistan... So gonna plug these into the TPM then end it all with the Walrus D1, R1 and the polish... Gfi specular reverb ahhh it's taken a year to aquire but so worth it
Great board! The only one I have is the DD-200. I dig me some quartermaster!
Incredible board. Great tones and playing. It's up there with Joe Coombs's.
That protein, broadcast odyssey combo give you some serious drive section options
Great video as usual. Please if you can have a video about the "EHX Tri Parallel Mixer" and possibly compare it with The GigRig Wetter Box. Wetter Box is one of the main tools on my board and I use it in many different ways for mainly recording in the studio; but I like to see how you use your parallel mixer. The only thing that I like about Wetter Box better than almost all other parallel mixers is its possibility to Blend the signal instead of Mixing between (it has both the Mix/Blend options though) different separated parallel signals. Mixing (signals on top of each other) naturally introduces more levels as well with different levels of gain for each loop, and also has a different feel to the final signal.
...
But Blend simply blends between two signals, let's say between the dry signal on one side and a fully wet chorus side on the other, it simply crossfades between the two for the desired levels. But Blend does not introduces more gain to the signal nor to my ears it changes the sounds of split signals too much. Because to my experience all parallel mixers in the market change the dry signal a little bit I guess because of their buffers. But Wetter Box was the most transparent to my experience and the only unit with the Blend option. Cheers!
Sure thing mate! I can do a video on the EHX but I doubt I'll be able to get my hands on a Wetter Box any time soon. Stay tuned
🎵I like big boards and I cannot lie. 🎵
llamas too
So are you powering the Cioks with the CS12? That would be a game changer for my board.
Hey Jackson! Have you considered putting both sides of the protein through through the Gigrig so you can switch either side independently? I was considering getting on but I didn't think you could run it through a switcher to go between both sides. Just looked on the website and it says this... I'm deffo going to get one now.
To use with a loop switcher like the RJM Mastermind ect.
The TRS plug on the input is going to act as the loop for the green side.
The TRS plug on the output is going to act as the loop for the blue side.
Tip is the input/send from your Loop
Ring is the output/return to your Loop.
I have considered it and tried it out while I was preparing for the build, but found this worked for me just fine and allowed me to put another pedal in a loop under the board.
You sold me on the Broadcast ! The Jam Llama is cool too ;) Great tones @ 23:50
I'm so happy to be using the Broadcast again. There's no other pedal like it!
@@JacksonBrooksby very Pink Floydesque tones on 23:50. What were the pedals involved please ? And your tele sounds ace. Do you still have 3 pickups?
That's the tri parallel mixer with the DD200, Slö and mood. Then the Cali76 and Broadcast for the lead part over reverb. And no I went back to 2 pickups
Great watch man! Nice one 👍 I actually don’t have a ‘proper’ board at the moment. With no gigs I tore up my main board to use for demos and stuff. This has inspired me to put something new together.. definitely won’t be as posh as yours though 😂
Okay so the buffer aspect I believe vertex just released the mk2 boost pedal which could solve that issue about putting your tuner closer to the beginning of the chain but I'm not 100% sure but worth looking into.
Awesome pedalboard my man. Love how you use the the quartermaster. You're gonna get me into trouble with the wife 😂✌️
@@JacksonBrooksby I don't want to say I've copied your board but since this video has been posted I've bought the broadcast and Ryra Klone. 🤣 Yup she's gonna be pissed....
Hey Jackson, Me and my friend are thinking of making some guitars together pretty soon. Our favourite is to try and make a hybrid between a telecaster and a les paul junior. But since neither of us have a les paul junior or a very good telecaster I was wondering of you could give any tips or recommendations. Great pedal board btw!
Sounds like a cool project! Two of my favourite guitars. Difficult to combine the two as they are both known for the bridge pickup tone in my opinion. And you can't have both! I'm sure you'll figure it out though. Maybe check out the Bunting Guitars Alice for inspiration
Great video. Good sounds.
Would you mind sharing your knob settings on the V40?
Volume 1oclock, treble 2oclock, mid 10oclock, bass 10oclock, reverb off, master 12oclock. Voice 1 and mid kick off.
@@JacksonBrooksby wow, thanks for the fast reply. I sometimes struggle with it sounding dark, but find it opens up much when turning the master up
The TU-3W is easily the best sounding pedal on this board🤭
JK this board is amazing!!
Im late to the party but here . Sounds really good , appears alot of time n thot was taken to put it together . Good for u , gig rig is my choice as well . Cheers , love the channel
I’ve been in a desperate search for a new board. I should consider Alder & Ash.
Yes, do a vid on the Tri Parallel Mixer, please. There's so many things we can do with parallel mixers; I left a comment in That Pedal Show they could do multiple shows on parallel mixers, since you can also mix in modulation, drives or loopers. Okay, technically the Mood is a looper, kind of, so you can already show that.
@@JacksonBrooksbythe EH tri parallel mixer was a favorite of mine as well, brilliant features.
Unfortunately there is a common qlitch where it fails to recall your switch positions, and all loops default to ON when powered up.
You cannot switch the loops off - you must unplug power and do the factory reset with each use. Ridiculous really. You'll find others frustrated with this issue on the Electro Harmonix forum.
Perhaps the issue has been addressed in some way, and/or you got a good one.
Fwiw i ended up with a Musicomlab Parallelizer instead (it has excellent buffers) but it cost $289 and it doesn't have EQ, let alone +/- send&return controls, but it does what it's supposed to do.
Damn! That is amazing!!! B)
Some great pedal choices there, Jackson. Now you’ve built it is there anything you think you’ve had done differently? Great to see the odyssey feature on there! Did / have you tried the spruce in front of the QMX6?I always played my sunface in front as to me, it just sounded better. It would mean having it on top, but may be worth checking out how different the tone sounds
I tried the Spruce before the QMX and couldn't hear any difference and this layout works better for me moving forward. I'm not sure what I'd do differently to be honest! I think I'm still in the honey-moon period with it. There's one or two cables that could be an inch or two longer 😂
OMG, what’s it’s postcode?
Are you powering the Cioks 4 with the 9v AC output on the CS12? If so, any issues with that process? I’m thinking about doing it myself.
What is the brand of your TRS coloured cables and where can you buy it?
If you mean the pink braided patch cables then they are Loaded for Bear Audio from the UK. Check out his website
You must be after the Edge’s gig.
Hahaha not quite... I can just about lift this on my own. The Edge's looks like a 3-man-job
Do you ever use these? Or you just make them to make pedal boards?
If the ehx parallel mixer is such a game changer why throughout the video does it not look patched in with any cables going in or out?
@@JacksonBrooksby aaaahh I see what you’ve done. Just straight in and out! It’s almost not worth having it! Very nice selection of pedals though, I have the quartermaster as well which is really great in giving you options and keeping things clean and tidy
I'm baffled that you overspent on the tuner just to get the Waza Craft version. If every other choice is debatable and a matter of taste, you could have picked up the regular BOSS TU-3 for half the price. Does a made in Japan tuner work better than the same model that's made in Taiwan?
Also, an identical copy of the pedal is the Behringer TU300. Costs 6 times less than the TU-3W and gets the job done unless you stomp it hard.
why are you making faces everytime you hit a chord? It's just a CHORD! lol kidding..great work man!
I have 43 pedals on my board.
Well its 2 custom boards i made so they clamshell into a carry case and unfold into 2 seperate boards. Flame maple too! I like pedals because im older and hardware still seems to react better but i cant afford 43 amps so i go with pedal tones. I run them into 2 boss katana 100 artist and a gt1000core unit. Gives me almost anything.
Such a stunning set up man! Just missing a metal zone on there and then. you have the ultimate board 😏
My man! Need that Bee Simulation pedal on here asap
