Painting Traditional Azulejos Tiles in Portugal

I travelled to the Algarve region in Portugal and participated in a traditional tile painting workshop. It was a wonderful way to immerse myself in the Portuguese culture, support local artisans and learn about this beautiful tradition.
Azulejos tiles can be found all over Portugal and are used in exterior and interior decoration.

I want to try this at home (in Australia). I gather that you use fired white glazed tiles and paint over them with the blue glaze and re-fire them? What temperature to you do that 2nd fire to?
