Tassy may have killed and likely absorbed essence / vitae during the duration of her "fugue" state, I wonder what implications would that have on her unborn child.
If she did kill right before the start of the game, their Vitae would have been drained along with the Vitae we harvested from Richard Fairchild in the machine. It appears that whatever the Harvester corruption is, it does not adversely corrupt unborn children (Tihana wouldn't give it to Tasi if there was any doubt), so its likely that any Vitae wouldn't reach Amari.
incredible work you have done by investing time in making these videos, it's always interesting to see behind a lot of unused, or would have been used parts of a game keep up the good work it will benefit later!
Great video as always. It appears a lot of stuff was planned for the village initially in addition to this, even some kind of hyena encounter. It is quite likely one of the main reasons the Otherworlders bothered with the desert in the first place was because it is sparsely populated and in direct sunlight for most of the day, so ghouls would not be easily able to traverse the desert in search of populated areas and just stick to their dark nests. It appears that the main outpost in the region was mostly dedicated to experimenting with and training the Harvesters. Which implies the Otherworlders were not willing to accommodate a huge number of untrained Harvesters in their own world and felt it necessary to put it in a location where even humans wouldn't be subjected to constant attacks, and for good reason. It took a pair of ghouls a few days to wipe out an entire French Foreign Legion garrison and one ghoul managed to annihilate an entire section of infantry soldiers over the course of three days. If you think about it the only reason Tasi is able to make the journey is because she is one of them, if you think about it from a darkly humorous perspective, the entire section in the fort is essentially the ghouls pranking her like incessant younger siblings. Since the harvesters were basically uncontrollable for the Otherworlders if they weren't wielding an Ankhrai stone, how the fountain that made them looked quite ritualistic, and how they are seemingly invincible after reaching a certain stage of the transformation, one can probably imagine that the Harvesters were a pain for them to deal with and were not created often, which probably is one of the reasons why they were phased out in favor of the pods, and why we only see one actual ghoul in the Other World besides Hank. It may even be possible that most of the ghouls were just dumped in the desert after being phased out. The Bunker's water and the ghouls created there were seemingly used for gladiatorial games. Perhaps wherein strong volunteers transformed themselves into Harvesters and fought to determine which one got the honor of serving the Empress for eternity, or perhaps just for the sick enjoyment of the Otherworlders and their Roman collaborators.
Interesting food for thought. They definitively seem to have that prankster-ish mindset to them, it might be in line with their ingrained purpose of instilling terror, like in one instance were upon trying to transport one of the wheels for the cannon one of them will shut the door in your face and then reach through the cracked wall next to it with it´s hands, while another will roll a barrel down a staircase, should Tasi elect to go up there the sheer scale of the Hunting Ground Mazes of which there are several in Zerzuras Capital in between the factories really does tell of how bothersome it must have been to keep these things in line
@@umukzusgelos4834 The pranks and gruesome decorations are probably a result of the more "social" side of their sadistic personalities, we see them nest together in large colonies and work together and coordinate when hunting humans, and they don't appear to try and harm members of their own kind unless they are still in the early and erratic stages of corruption. These kinds of playful-bordering-on-sadistic behaviors aren't unheard of among highly intelligent and social predators that raise their young and hunt in groups, such as dolphins, orcas, and humans of course.
one can only hope that this is not all of the villages population and that at least some managed to flee, still seeing the Old and Young alike strung up and brutalized like this really does hold an impact
@@umukzusgelos4834 It was mentioned in a cut note that most of the people who lived in the village left after Herbert's expedition disturbed the Shadow and likely the ghouls as well. Add in the semi-regular attacks from ghouls, what we see in-game may very well be the entire population. In any case, Yasmin's death is ambiguous, since she may have been too far along in the transformation to properly "die." In which case she would probably hunt down any stragglers.
