My Galaxy Watch 4 Bluetooth version had battery issues since the time i bought it early this year. But after updating to One UI 5, battery drainage issue completely resolved and i was getting a battery backup of close to 3 days compared to 6-8 hrs before the update. Recently i changed my phone and connected my watch to it. To my surprise the battery started draining so quickly. In less than 15 mins of usage 30% of the battery drained.
Why don't smartwatches automatically disconnect bluetooth, turn on power saving mode and close all background apps whenever it's not being worn? With this simple fix, I've improved my watch 4 battery life to close to 4 days while not being worn. Otherwise it would last only 2 days even if I don't even touch it. Background drain is insane on these watches and it should be fixed, otherwise for occasional users, it's always dead whenever we try to use it. Also there should be an option to enable LTE only when some app is actively trying to use the internet (like when Google assistant is listening or Spotify is opened)
I agree with most everything you said except for the watch bands. The large Galaxy Watches use standard 20mm watch bands that you can get anywhere. I have a beautiful faux alligator leather band on my Watch 4 (my second band after the first wore out from heavy use) and love it. Bands from reputable makers can be had for under $25 instead of paying exorbitant prices for Samsung non-fashion bands.
Samsung should stop making jokes and start to make a smartwatch that doesn't heat up while making phone calls. And the battery should at least hold a weak. Until then I will stick with my Galaxy watch from 2018 with a batterylife of 4 days
it doesn't make sense that Samsung decided AGAINST brining out a 3rd high end watch a la Apple watch Ultra comparable. It shouldn't have taken them 3 years to decide to finally do it. Did they really think they would be able to stay competitive with Apple without doing so? Samsung needs to step up their smartwatch game in a major way next year because it will be game over for them if they don't, Apple isn't playing around. People will shell out their money for quality industry leading products. It shows, because tons of people have flocked to the Apple Ultra watches, and LOVE them.
They will always remain competitive with apple. Simple reason compatibility. Doesn't matter which watch is better if it doesn't work with your phone properly. It's a lot harder a sell to make people swap over there.
I also love the round watches with rotating bezel but it would be nice to have an ultra or pro version that is square. Designed for someone who wants to do more on their watch and maybe leave their phone behind for a day. Samsung pioneer this idea I believe with the original Galaxy gear s ...
I have the 6 LTE and completely agree. My problem with the software is with Gboard. It doesn't work for Notes or for Reminders where the screen just goes blank
Yeah, the sleep tracking on mine kept restarting the watch in the middle of the night. Sent watch back twice and they could not fix it. Had to get a generic refund where they would not give back my Samsung + protection. It was the worst customer service experience I've encountered in my life thus far.
Square Watch with 2" Display and bring back the functions from wear OS 2 back! Notifications showing perisistant on the watchface and gestures like my oppo watch can do! So oppo watch 4 pro can only color OS but we need such a watch in Europe!
Need to improve the SOS hard fall detection. My Galaxy Classic Watch 4 SOS hard fall detection does NOT work. I had a hard fall on a concrete floor and the watch did not detect the fall.
Can I just get the watch5 pro battery and titanium construction with the watch 6 screen size and rotating bezel. From a hardware perspective we're golden now. It'd be cool if they kept the watch5 pros GPS map file upload thing too.
My wish list #1. Features need to work out of the box!!! Look how many years ago they released the blood pressure monitor and to tie day it's STILL not FDA approved in the US. #2. The watch Ultra MUST BE rectangular!!! If you're going to complete with the Apple watch there needs to be an ultra that's rectangular. Samsung has a history of STARTING trends then get lazy and uncreative and then apple swoops in and takes all the credit.

Hi i would like to know.. Is the an "auto" On and Off mode for the LTE? Means whenever galaxy phone not connected/Off, watch automatically On the LTE.. Then when phone and watch reconnected the watch Off the LTE?

I really wished samsung could respect the users a bit and properly test their software before it gets released. This one ui5 is terrible and no one knows how long it'll take to fix anything, or if something will ever be fixed. I totally regret the day i installed the update. Faster processors and better screens are useless if the software doesn't work well, if the sensors don't work well, if the battery is not enough
I'm getting good battery life. I don't use Google stuff, so it's really good. Dont lilke my screen turned up high either not eye comfortable. I forgot when i last charged. Sleep is a different story. It catches up sooner or later later.
Sorry for being irrelevant but I have encountered a very strange and unexpected issue with my Galaxy watch 4 and I would really appreciate an answer if you have one, because if you dont nobody does. The watch is in pristine condition and worked fine until 5 days ago when suddenly one morning I took it off the charger and from then on the battery drain is ridiculous. I mean the watch lasted for the normal 2 days and now lasts for about 3 hours top! I recorded an average of 10 percent every 10 minutes. It's practically useless. Have you ever encountered that and do you have a possible fix...? Thanks in advance.

The only thing I can see so far is it's very boring it's not exciting I was just sitting here wishing they would add some more watch faces but we got to wait until a new damn watch comes out and yes you can go to other sites but I'm talking about a Samsung watch face cuz they do a decent job and maybe some new features maybe allow us to use that temperature sensor Just add some stuff to make it exciting
1st world issues. Who, in their right mind, depends upon a watch for heart, sleep, and blood pressure tracking? Cool stuff but not to be depended upon unless you want to risk your health.
Apple is not an option for me ever. Dont want a digital ID with a digital prison number. Plus, the watch is super ugly along with the extremely dated body of iPhone. The software a step below crazy looking. It's a visual mess.

Yes, Ive noticed Samsung doesn't have good watch bands but you know they gonna jack up the price. I don't mind stuff I find on Amazon and cheaper.
All we need is a 3+ day battery life with AOD like the Apple Watch Ultra 2

Yes it's literally a setting there. I have the lte watch, but I never really use the lte as its always connected.
After the update I'm experiencing trouble opening "reminder app" in galaxy watch 4 blutooth...

Idk, my watch 4 was fine, it lasted 32 hours, but then suddenly, out of nowhere it only last 18-20 hours, what is going on???

You are not alone…not sure if that it helps but the more people make noise the higher the chances to get it fixed.

check for the apps running in background coz apps like samsung health and assistant drain quite a lot pf juice out of it

If you have these problems you would always want to keep on top of it. It just helps in between periodic tests
