I really enjoy these clips with Fuzz.
He seems like such a decent chap.
Give him a show of his own, just delving into old engines.
    I'd watch it.
    😊

Amen. James May got such a series in the past; ran for several seasons.

The skill set of this mechanic is just incredible. Knowledge accrued over years of hands on. The Messerschmitt anecdote was fascinating. 504s were a go for any terrain would be accommodated by the mechanical metering system. A lot worked in Africa.

Excellent clips. Great to see Fuzz on his own, without the unwelcome distraction of someone who shall remain nameless. Sorry to seem heartless.....

I just wanted to say a BIG thank you not only to the best show Ingot got hooked to but to what the show does to the owners of those restored cars. Just watched restoration of the classic Porsche on National Geographic, looking at that cancer sufferer looking at his car made me tearful. Thank you. Willy Mutenza

That is the 2.0 L engine, my dad had one in his old automatic 504. He had it in the late 80s and at that time it was considered an old banger but built like a tank.
I can remember as a kid that it was real powerful, it would roar when he put his foot down, ( probably made louder by the fan) and he complained it was thirsty more than once.

Anyone know what the springs do on the spark plugs? I know he said they provide more pressure to keep them in but surely the plugs would already be held down by the threads

Would give a good connection to the spark plug leads i would guess. Has nothing to do with keeping them screwed in the head.
